Einstürzende Neubauten (pronounced [ˈaɪnˌʃtʏɐʦəndə ˈnɔʏˌbaʊtən] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:IPA)) is a German (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany) avant-garde music (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avant-garde_music) band, originally from West Berlin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Berlin), formed in 1980. The group currently comprises Blixa Bargeld (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blixa_Bargeld) (lead vocals, guitar, keyboard), Alexander Hacke (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Hacke) (bass (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bass_guitar), guitar, vocals), N. U. Unruh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._U._Unruh) (custom-made instruments (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experimental_musical_instrument), percussion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percussion_instrument), vocals), Jochen Arbeit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jochen_Arbeit) (guitar and vocals), and Rudi Moser (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudi_Moser) (custom-built instruments, percussion, and vocals).

The band is often classified as industrial music (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_music). One of their "trademarks" is the use of custom-built instruments, predominantly made out of scrap metal and building tools, and noises, in addition to standard musical instruments. Neubauten has always experimented with sounds, originally in noise music (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noise_music) and recently in very diverse styles.

One of these days you need to be sent to the Hi-Tone Cafe in Memphis so you can watch a man paint with his penis as a guitarist strums punk riffs on an electric guitar with no distortion.

Pffffft.

The only way that sh1t could appeal to me is if the guy ejaculated all over the canves and called the piece 'Jackson Pollocks cumback'.

The Punk riffs without distortion can stay though.
