Can Anyone Help me Find This Old Anime?

I'm trying to find an anime that had a huge effect on me when I was younger. I barely remember it now, but am trying to find it.

I'm Pretty sure it was about a Male Human and a Female Android.
It was done in a High quality old-school almost painted style. It wasn't cartoony, and was very moody.
I remember it was kind of Brown in parts, and dusty.
Also I remember that they showed the android in a heap of broken parts at one point. It was kind of Traumatic.

No, this is older and more mature. It's not Cartoony, it's more like painted anime ya know? It was probably done in the 80s at some point, around the akira era, and the original Vampire Hunter D.:confused:

I think we can safely assume Gregor was molested whilst watcing Robot Carnival as a kid, hence why he repressed most of his memory when giving out the description in the op.

This anime also has a male man and a female android. I think it was shown on toonami(cartoon network) and the name was something like outlaw ....

They were accompanied by a strong cat-woman and a woman swordsman

The man had a ship with hands. He found the woman in a warehouse in a case.
