Episodes 01-02

After seeing the first two episodes, i think you all should check it out. It's definitely mysterious and they've done a good job in creating a setting. Of course his eye has some mysterious power but what and how he can use it will be cool to find out, as well as his friend.

I watched the first episode, but I wasn't blown away. It all felt really, really familiar, like it was composed from bits of many previous anime. Of course, you can say that about almost everything.

Seeing an anime character, especially the main character, with an eye-patch just makes me cringe, and the puppy-dog, tag-a-long friend is also standard formula. The actual story seems pretty interesting, especially the part about his sister, and some of the other girls involved in this supernatural harem might have potential.

I'm probably going to watch more of the series, but the first episode didn't exactly make me eager to see the rest right away.

Episode 05

Finally it looks like this series is underway. The appetizer (albeit a bit bland) is now done and over, and we're on to the main course. Seeing the eye open through the patch was pretty cool, although if the power is only clairvoyance i'm not sure that's as "epic" as they make it seem or rather that Velado (his ancestor?) makes it seem. Honestly though, who are they trying to kid with the entrance of his sister-lookalike that can't speak? Hahaha, it's obviously her manifested in the flesh with her voice being the trade-off i guess.

Woah they're going through those guys pretty quickly. I guess there's a deeper meaning to "fragments" as i thought. Nothing more about it yet though. Man...girls always say they "believe you" then they act like all butt hurt. HAhaha.

Damn it, does anyone else want to smack Yuka upside the head? She gets on my last nerve. I like Misuzu much better. This is going to be another harem anime where I hate the principle female character.

Also, that witch is more than she seems, apparently. I wonder how that's going to turn out, and what her connection with the King dude is.

Yes for some reason they do that :) i dont know why they do it( its not like it will earn them any extra fans right?). But the story is pretty good :P

I agree with Choccs. I think Satsuki should tone it down a little. And I realy can't stand Yuka.

Yuka is a lunatic. She goes completely emo and causes trouble for everyone while they are in a life and death situation, just because she catches a glimpse of something and misunderstands. Besides that, the other girl exposes her heart, telling Yuka about how her life thus far has been filled with killing and death, and Yuka acts like it's trivial compared to her obsession with Kakeru.

Yuka is a nut-case. She's the scariest character in the whole anime. I hope she does an Aerith, or explodes or something. Maybe she'll go over to the Dark Side, so I can respect her more.

I didn't know you still watched anime. As for school uniforms, they have to have something distinctive for Comiket, don't they? How will people know know the cosplayers on sight, otherwise? A male protagonist with an eye patch is not enough, and since all female anime protagonists are in either high school or middle school, they have to resort to alternate methods. Don't even say stuffed penguin, either.

Japan does sort of ignore the concept behind the suspension of disbelief. I have a theory that all high school faculty rush to a secure bunker between classes. This would account for the fact that no teachers or staff ever show up during the protracted battles the students have on the roof.

It's not really the story-lines that bother me. 11eyes, as an example, has a pretty interesting plot. It's just how anime leans so heavily upon extremely stereotypical characters and often makes no effort at believable or immersion storytelling. The japanese seem to have no concept of the suspension of disbelief, which is a literary term for story that makes you feel like you're inside the world created by the author. Things that break that feeling, like stupid or nonsensical reactions by the characters, or poorly written dialogue, or just simply little things that make no practical sense, they all distract the viewer from the story.

In other news, Yuka is a psychopath. It won't be long before she takes her place as the true evil in this series, that even the Dark Knights fear. The latest episode got interesting near the end. Little Shiori finally made her move, in all her profound cuteness. What happened to Seiko was disturbing, though. I had a sinking feeling that something bad was going to happen to her, but the actual event was pretty shocking. I knew it, though, as soon as I saw her walking away and waving, I told said to myself, oh no, she's going to die.

This anime is crazy. I have no idea what's going to happen next. It's hard to believe that I was once thinking about dropping this because it seemed cookie-cutter. Characters dying (supposedly), the bad guys being the good guys (supposedly), and the female main character (supposedly) being a psychopath (definitely).

Speaking of which, Yuka creeps me out so much. It's almost time for her to do something stalker-level insane, because somehow people have missed her loony-toons behavior thus far. If I were Shiori, I wouldn't have ingested anything little-miss-psycho prepared.

This has gotten interesting. Also, just where do all those chains come from? I'm almost afraid to find out.

Already dropped this one, i have no idea, but i don't like the characters (ugh mainly because of Yuka) and the story is just a little over the top and crazy.
And i feel i have seen bits of this anime somewhere in other animes before.
But that's just me, everyone has a different taste.
