Here's a fic i wrote... i dont write very often and im actually planning to transfer it into manga form because that was my original intent. So the way i wrote it was in parts that helped me organize the layout of the manga, so just ignore the headings such as prologue, end scene and such... well.. read and hope you enjoy, and please comment, because if it turns out bad.. i'll probably actually start over on the fic, because i think its just too generic... but whateva... so yah.. hope you enjoy ^^

In the early stages of the world, when war was the settlement between all men, when pride and honor was all that mattered and only the strongest survived... a demon appeared before the world - one known as Shi no Kami (God of Death), feared by all; his name, Seishin Ryu.
As the sun set on a serenely beautiful midsummer night, you could hear nothing in the calm serene silence...
Graced by a red tinted moon, it was peaceful. Yet suddenly, as a man began to run, he gathered followers as he ran, and the peace was shattered as they called out, ?Seishin Ryu has come! Everyone, we must defend ourselves!"
As Seishin Ryu leaped onto a rooftop, he heard a crack and found swords piercing the tile, and pikes came erupting from where he stood.
He says "Damn, they're armed already?"
He sprints along the roof, trying frantically to dodge the weapons springing up all around him in a random effort to kill him.
He jumps far and high in what seemed an open and clear path, as he heard the strings of bows ring clear and sound through the night, as arrows came towards him! He turns his head towards his right, only to see thousands of arrows rain upon him.
He screams as the force of the arrows bit into him, pinning him to the ground. The sound echoed of the landing as Seishin Ryu felt the air get knocked out of him.He passed out as the pain began to slowly overtake him.
Thus, the life of the legend, the legacy, Seishin Ryu - Shi no Kami, ended. However, the proginies of his clan did not die away with him.
The family that he had fathered cast away their direct relation to him, yet retained his name ignoring the discrimination from society.
No one would dare to harm them in fear of the family's power and capabilites. The family was an elite clan composed of natural talents, born year after year, each which could succeed and hone their powers in their bloodline elements Katon (Fire style) and Kageton (Shadow Style).
A thousand years later, as the clan nears destruction, a youth discovers his potential?

---==Begin Openning Scene==---
Kei awakens suddenly, in the morning a couple hours before dawn, unaware of why he'd woken up. Looking at his clock he sees its only 4:32 A.M. He flops back down onto his pillow in an attemp to go back to sleep but couldn't. He was bothered for some reason,
but all he understood was the uneasy feeling he had going down his back, unwavering. Kei instantly knew that today was going to be
a bad day to have awoken to.
Grumbling as he got out of bed and tired with lazy eyes, he puts out his hand to help him find his way to the bathroom to wash his face.
The lights turn on and he went through his daily routine of soaking a towel is hot water and puts the tooth paste on his tooth brush and
then sprinkling some hot water on it before brushing his teeth. He drains the water and lifts the towel as he brushes, wiping his face at the same time. As he brings the towel over his eyes, he feels a chill go down his back. When he finishes bring the towel away from his eyes he sees a familiar face. He doesn't know why it is familiar, and after a moment, he realizes the face isn't his own and is instantly shocked and somewhat afraid. He gasps as he blinks and opens his eyes again, finding the face had disappeared. After a moment, he sighed and finished brushing his teeth before leaving the bathroom, while turning off the light behind him.
Kei walks downstairs and entered a dark room with a family portrait of his father, mother, brother and sister. He prayed in front of the faces of his passed on family, and left for the kitchen to make breakfast.
As he walks towards the hall he noticed a small light begin to come towards the entrance way. The light got brighter as it approaches and then his sister Hikaru appears. Suddenly he realizes that she was a ghost. She smiles at him and he smiles back. Kei walked by and into his kitchen where he finds breakfast already made. Then he remembered the reason why he could see Hikaru. It's the second anniversery of their deaths. Although in pain, he was glad they were allowed to visit him from Heaven. Kei turns around and sees his mother. His face brightens and he yells excitedly "Mom!" and runs to embrace her. As he stepped through her, slightly shocked, he realizes the truth: that even though they can visit, even if his family can touch the items in the house, they cannot touch each other... Sadly, he turns to face his mother and says in a meloncholy tone "It's good to see you again."
After eating his favorite foods that his mother cooked, he got up to leave. As he steps outside, he sees his father and waves goodbye. Outside infront of the mailbox, he sees his cousin - Jonathan - paying his respects. After Jonathan finishes, he says "Hey, so I guess today is gonna' be a little good for you huh?"
Kei replies, "Yeah, I guess so..."
Jonathan tries to encourage, "Awww, c'mon, at least you got to see them again today right?"
Kei sighed heavily. "Let's not talk about it, okay?"
Jonathan pauses before saying "Sure..."
And they walk off to school.

As they're walking, Jonathan excitedly asks, "Hey, have you seen what's on the news?"
Kei replies, "No, sup?"
Jonathan - "Dude, they're like these huge canyons ripping up all over the place. And they say it looks like chasms of fire, and some people are saying it's a hole to Hell..."
Kei laughed, "Hahahahah, you sure this was in the news and not your wacked out imagination?"
Jonathan, "No way! Dude, I'm so serious, like they say there're humanoid looking creatures towards the bottom that are trying to climb up."
Sarcastically, Kei said, "Hmph, maybe it's my parents coming back to life?"
Jonathan - "You really shouldn't take this lightly and joke about your parents like that... but anyways, there are these problems they are getting too. Because they're having all these equipment failures and explosions whenever they try and get close to the rift. And people who walk by get like half their clothes blown off and if they're too close still, they get burned.'
Kei - "HAHA, nice... hope they're some hot girls too, then maybe I'll actually start watching the news. Man, you sure you should be going to school when you're hallucinating?"
Jonathan yelled, "Screw you, I'm f***in' serious, this is crazy, it's
almost like what our grandparents used to say about all that crazy stuff that happened back in like the feudal ages and stuff where you
could use magic and had special abilities."
Kei started to get mad - "You don't actually believe that stuff do you? Because if it were true, are you saying it's true that my family were killed by demons? HUH?" Now angry, "You think it's true that some f***in' freaks just came out of the f***in' ground and killed my parents right in front of my eyes and slaughter my bro and sis? What the F***?! I didn't see sh** like that at all... if anything, they were shot, and I saw bullets and I heard gun shots you-"
Jonathan slightly angry now too, "Hey, I didn't say that! Dude, I'm just sayin'..., back off will ya? Besides, they say you wouldn't see them because you were in too much shock... so what you saw probably wasn't what happened...
Kei even more angrily "What, and you think we can shoot fire balls out of our mouths? I haven't seen you f***in' do it before? You think we can jump twenty feet into the air and come crashing down without a scratch like some f***in' anime? I don't believe in-"

Suddenly, the ground started shaking and cracks started to appear everywhere. Kei turns around "What the hell?"
Jonathan - "Well, I guess this is where we find out if they're real or not huh? I hope your ready, because I believe there are magic and demons, and I also believe we are decendants of a god!" As Jonathan said that, his eyes flared and shimmered for a split second with a light blue haze. Kei, now confused, could only look at him. As the ground erupted and split apart, Kei and Jonathan grabbed onto oppossite sides as it split.
Kei turns around and screams, "Jonathan!" Jonathan only looked back, confident at what he said earlier and turned away and lept back up. Kei was confused at how well Jonathan could control his body under such circumstances, as if Jonathan had gotten more athletic and fit then he was just a few seconds ago. Kei felt air pushing against him, then heat. The pressure from the heated air gushed forward and blew him out of the canyon and ten feet into the air to the side. He came crashing down with a thud. Kei moans as he realizes he is still alive, so he tries to get up, but is slowed by the pain. "Ack, damn... I feel like I'm about to die already. Yah, some super powers alright... he was just lucky or the air helped push him up."
Suddenly a large foot came crashing down right infront of him. It was red and had a rock like texture, with seven claws mounted as if formed to help it pierce through a tank. As Kei looked up, his face slowly contorted in horror as he stared at the horrific monster leaning above him and strangely, the being spoke as he raised his foot- "Heh, so we meet again. Die you pathetic weakling." Confused at first that the creature had spoken English, Kei reacted fast enough to avoid getting stepped on.
Kei confronted the creature asking, "What are you?"
The creature replied, "A demon, created from the fires of Hell by the God of Heaven to serve and bring death to all those who are failures."
Kei noticed a large "S" shaped scar across the demon's left side of the face. And then, At that moment, ten small rodent like creatures came out of the chasm, bearing humanoid type features but their flesh was formed in a way of a type of carapace.
Kei jumps back and tries to turn and run but as he was turning, he felt a hand with three claws grab his shoulder. Kei yells as he turned and
punched the thing in the face,
"Get off me!"
Although he had punched the small demon, he believed he felt more pain because the demon didn't look phased at all while he felt like he had punched a wall of ten-inch solid steel. He cringed and recoiled in pain, cursing. The smaller demon then lifted Kei by his shoulders which looked like an impossible feet considering he was seemingly only half the size
of a regular teenager, and throws Kei five feet away.
As Kei fell, he heard a voice, "Kei, believe in your power..."And somehow, as he heard and listened to this voice, he felt renewed and filled with vigor. Kei caught himself and landed on his feet as he skidded backwards on his hands and feet. Confused, he just stood there as the demons came, one after the other screaming random words of how they intended to kill him.
Even after this refreshing feel, Kei still felt doubt, as if he was about to die. Then, the voice came again, "You have to live on, you
have to avenge your family, and you have to obtain your destiny..."
Kei repeated, "My destiny...I have to... live... for my... destiny...
I have to live... No..." and then he screamed, "I MUST LIIIVVVE!!!"
Kei turned towards the closest demon and flattened his palm, as if to
make his hand into a blade, with his fingers pointed all in one direction and then thrusted his hand forward towards the demon's chest. Suprisingly to Kei, his hand and half his arm went straight through the demon's chest, spilling blood both from the back and front. The other demons paused and started to regroup, now suddenly surprise.
Kei just slowly lowers his arm with the body and the body slowly slid off, as if the hand had torn off more then just the flesh that his
hand had pierced. In shock, he lifted his hand and looked at how blood stained it was. Even though the demon's were not human, they still
had the same tint to their blood and he could feel how warm it was. Pain shot through his mind as a flash of how his family died, and then
he saw the truth. Demons pouring out of a ripped tunnel under a large oak tree. And they came charging towards Kei and his family like
bullets, and stabbed them to death... leaving only Kei. And then, a large demonic being stood over him, and then, all he remembered was
a bolt of lightning struck the demon on the face, leaving a large scar across the left side in the shape of an "S" as a familiar voice spoke to him. Then the same voice, but so much more familiar now, came to Kei again as he snapped back into reality.
"Use your power that you have. Use that beautiful power that you have running through your veins, use that power that you inherited from Seishin Ryu! Do not waver, let your emotions guide you and then defeat all who oppose you!"
No longer in fear, that innocence that filled him earlier as he looked at his blood stained hands disappeared as he clenched his fist. His eyes now filled with confidence just as he had seen in Jonathan's earlier.
"Now I understand, I have this power, it is not fake, and I will... I must... SURVIVE!" Rage filled Kei as he turned towards the nine other demons and he charged at them.

---==Begin Opening Scene==---
Jonathan leaped from the cliff of the ravine, onto stable ground. He turns toward the school to make sure that there were no other openings around the area. As he started to run, he quickly glanced back to check on Kei. He then sees it, the proof of what he believed was possible - that they could use techniques of old to fight just as the family legends told of, as Kei ran his hand through a demon infront of him and completely impaled the beast. Even though he had firmly believed in the tales, he was still in shock by the power that was just displayed. However, it relieved him to know that now, there was a way to survive if anything were to attack him also.
When he reached the school, he saw that it was still untouched. The blinds were open in some of the classes and he could see that the school must have announced the shockwave, of the chasm that opened, to be just an earthquake. Realizing that the people at school would mostlikely not believe him, he turned around and acknowledged the fact that he would have to be the last line of defence.
Jonathan drew in a deep breathe and he clenched his fists in preparation for what could happen. While at the same time...

Kei reached the first of the other nine demons that were left and punched him in the face with his right hand followed by a jumping left kick to knock the demon down. Another demon came and tackled him from the left side that he left open and he fell down easily yelling in pain as he noticed the claws had scratched and ripped at his skin. The demon then lifted his right claw to deliver the final blow to Kei's face. Wasting no time, Kei quickly repeated his earlier movement of flattening his palm and tried to strike the demon in the chest, however, the demon lowered his right hand's angle to try and cancel out the attack. This moved Kei's fingers back and broke a couple of the finger bones. Kei yelled in agony as the pain quickly shot into his whole arm. The demon then tightened his grip on Kei's hand and slowly ripped and broke the four fingers that were pointed at him. Kei's eyes widened as he felt his hand being broken to pieces right in front of him and he screamed as loud as he could.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
His earlier momentum and confidence started to deminish as he felt he was going to die soon. The demon wanted otherwise, he wanted to slowly torcher this human that he saw as a pathetic being who just happend to luckily kill a fellow demon. The demon didn't understand how this flimsy, fragile, pathetic and oblong creature could have killed one of his kind who were obviously more physically superior. None the less, he grinned happily as he continued to crush this human's "claw."

---==Begin Midway Scene==---
Jonathan heard a loud scream of agony coming from where he had left Kei. He turned his head towards the direction of the scream and felt a shot of pain and agony, as if he could share his cousin's pain. He feared the worse, thinkin that Kei could have died already, even though he had earlier displayed such promising abilities. He quickly dashed back to where they were to get to Kei as soon as possible.
As he neared the chasm, he saw his cousin lying on the ground with the little demons he had seen earlier standing around him, each waiting to torture him. Jonathan felt somewhat relieved to know that his cousin was not dead yet. He then saw, out of the corner of his eye, a much larger demon-like being. He almost towered over all of the smaller ones and Kei, even from the distance he was away from them. Jonathan quickly scanned the area to find somewhere, anywhere the chasm hadn't ripped too far apart or hadn't ripped at all so that he could cross. He saw it, to the left. His face brightened as he ran there to quickly aid Kei. A large flame shot up from the chasm and flowed over towards Jonathan. He looked towards it and quickly judged how to dodge it and threw himself towards the right. He fell and rolled over to the side and was stopped by something large and solid. Jonathan looked up to see a large, bear like demon, like the demon across the chasm that was looking upon Kei. There were 3 others with him but this one infront of him, this other large demon lifted Jonathan by his head with just one hand-like claw. The ends of the claw slightly bit into Jonathan's head which hurt a lot more then he thought it would. Realizing that he could not waste anytime and that this demon wasn't going to willing let go of him, he screamed
"F***in' bastard! Get your hands off of me!"
and he grabbed onto the long arm with both of his and flung his legs onto it to hang on. He then lifted his right leg and kicked the demon in the face while crossing his left over the arm and under the shoulder. He tilted his body slightly to the left and tightend his leg to dislocate the arm.
The demon let go because of the pain and Jonathan, relentlessly continued to try and kill this thing before it could recover. Jonathan let go of the arm to fall freely to the ground and he spun while doing so to land on his arms and legs. He quickly jumped off from that position towards the demon and elbowed it in the gut. The demon grunted in pain while almost falling back from the hit. Feeling energy in his arms, he remembered the training, and the words that he was taught.
Jonathan spoke them in a way, as if chanting them while focusing energy into his right hand that was free -
"Fiery Death of Chaos
Erupt from my Fist
Create Death all around
Raise fire from even Ashes!"
Small parts of energy began to gather around him and the demon. They slowly turned into a red light that emitted large amounts of heat, the little bits then turned into small flames and gathered and flickered around the two, while slowly engulfing them. The path then slowly smoothed into a sphere around them and centered into Jonathan's palm. Jonathan finished the technique he was performing... -
"Fire Style, Fire Sphere Technique!"
At that moment, the energy dispersed around them and engulfed them as an energy ball that surrounded so tightly that all you could see were the fiery glow of the attack, and then, like a mushroom cloud, the energy shot upwards above all their heads and dispersed into four directions while taking off the head of the demon that was infront of Jonathan, all aiming towards the ground and the other three demons that were still alive. The flames shot towards the other three in a constant stream that drained at the sphere till it disappeared and they rapidly seared the demons and exploded on the chests while ripping through them before they finally hit the ground. Jonathan, now barely able to stand, felt like he had been hit by a truck and almost passed out, but his will to save Kei pulled him forward. And oddly, the demon whos head was now burned off, still stood erect. Jonathan, not able to move any further just stood there in a trance, about to fall down, as if he was knocked unconcious. He breathed heavily and closed his eyes slowly and fell to the ground. And then the body of the demon began to fall on top of him with the spikes of the arm aimed towards him...

Kei felt heat, pressure and pain. As he heard Jonathan scream, he tried to look to his side but was distracted by the demon on top of him. Now he could feel real pain that was unbelievable. It was tremendous, it shot through his arm, he felt it in his shoulder, and then he knew, the demon was breaking his entire arm through just his hand. Kei's faced torted in horror and his eyes widened with fear.
Kei thought to himself, "What can I do? I have no chance, not against this... was that earlier kill just a fluke?"
He then felt a warm glow forming from his left side, across the chasm. He felt energy being drawn into a focal point. He turned and saw Jonathan chanting words, but too low for him to hear, and then, he saw energy gather around him, and then the energy turned into small flames and gathered, and melded together to form around him. The energy then came into a spot in his hand and as Jonathan shouted "Fire Style, Fire Sphere Technique!" the energy exploded in flames around him and shot upwards and came raining down in four directions killing the demons that surrounded him.
Kei then thought to himself, "Wait, that was something we learned, something I didn't want to pay much attention to because I didn't think it was possible, but it's true..." He then said with hope in his voice "We can use magic..."
Kei's eyes flared again, filled with confidence once more, he quickly remembered some of what he had learned from his grandparents and chanted while he moved his hand towards his chest and placed his palm on it -
"Cold Strength from Darkness
Come Forth from with-"
Pain shot through his arm, the demon had clenched harder and had now rammed his other hand into Kei's shoulder, obviously the demon knew something of what was to come, but this didn't stop Kei -
"-in"
Kei drew in a quick deep breathe to gain strength to finish the spell -
"Power of the stars
Chaotic fury blossom
Lay waste to all around me
Raise Shadow from Darkness!"
Strans of dark light gathered towards Kei's body and incased him in an luminescent glow. The glow was black but had a tint of dark blue that hazed over and around. It almost looked beautiful in a strange and majestic way. And then the light intesified.
"Shadow Style, Nova of Chaos!"
Then the energy shocked Kei and drew him upwards and erupted. He gasped and drew in air quickly as the energy streamed out into a sphere of four meters in radius, killing off all the demons at once. The energy formed a dark ball that streamed around and circled the area it had erupted and as quickly as it had appeared and erupted, it drew itself back in a vaccuum motion like a dark hole and disappeared.
Kei stunned and drained from the energy he had released went into shock from pain that surged all through out his body. He had never felt any pain like this before. It was like electricty moving throughout - shocking and burning within his skin, his muscles, his bones. His body started to contract almost into a spasm but then it slowly subsided. Now breathing heavily, as if he sufficated, he tried desperately to draw in air. His body was covered in sweat almost instantly from the heat of the energy that was released. He moaned
"Uhhh... sooo much pa.. pa.. pain-..."
Gasping and breathing heavily, he layed there, exhausted and closed his eyes.
Then, as he felt he was about to pass out, his eyes popped open, only to realized he was now being approached by the large demon he saw ealier with the S shaped scar on his face. Kei looked up in mixed feelings of anger and fear as the demon raised his arms and pointed his claw-ish hands towards him. They came down swiftly to deliver the final blow. And the demon spoke -
"Hmph. You may have managed to kill those weaklings, however you may have done it. Mostlikely it was by luck, but it seems your luck as ran out. Now die, screaming in agony so that I can enjoy this killing. Because you never stood a chance against me anyways..."

As Jonathan began to walk over to where Kei was to help him... the energy that had disapated from his earlier technique started to take its toll on him. He waivered as he felt drained of all his energy and he slowly fell forward without any resistance.
He hit the ground with a thud. This caused small bits of shockwaves that shook the earlier motionless, and don't forget headless, body of the demon he had slain earlier to start to tilt forward and towards him.

Fuzor sat in class, almost falling asleep as usual. Fuzor could be called Kei's best friend if you will. He was always ten minutes early to class everyday so that he could not worry about being late and get cosy enough to sleep in class. The funny thing was, even though he slept for about sixty percent of the class, he was always the highest scorer on all the quizzes and tests. Very calm and wise for his years. He was a very contradictory character because he was very childish and energetic at times yet wise and calm other times. He was very athletic and was six feet one inch. His family came from a temple who raised monks to worship bears and was always able to tame them, however that was possible. Because of this, Fuzor was always very facinated by bears and always had a keen sense of being able to relate to them. His clothes were always uniform, yet had a sense of savage and untamed wild look to it. Again, very contradictory. No one every knew why he was called "Fuzor" considering it was an odd name. No one knew his real name, but everyone did know that he had his parents change his name to Fuzor just because of his own personal reasons that he never said. Some people thought he was weird for this but he made up for it with his other traits, such as his energetic outlook and his ability to make things fun for everyone.
Kazeki, who sat right next to him, was also one of Kei's best friends who was sort of the slacker type. He had just gotten to school and on time for once since he actually turned his clock hand fifteen minutes faster to make up for his procrastination. Kazeki was always a joker and was sometimes... very stupid, to be blunt. However, he's always there for his friends so there was no need to worry when it came to loyalty from him. He was a bit mysterious, no one knew of his parents, where he lived, or anything of the sort, it always seemed to be washed away from the records but put in when needed. He always seemed to be day dreaming, with a blank look on his face...
As Fuzor and Kazeki were in class chatting for a little about Hikari, (the chick Kei had a huge crush on but never talked to) and how they should set up a way for Kei to look like an idiot infront of her for laughs, a huge shockwave came flowing in towards the school, causing a massive earthquake. Remembering some of the news reports they had seen earlier the day before, Kazeki looked towards Fuzor to see if he remembered. Fuzor nodded his head. As the other students prepared for the earthquake evacuation and so forth, Fuzor and Kazeki bolted out of the school. Kazeki went away from the shockwave while Fuzor went to the front of the school. When Kazeki realized he just got ditched, he turned the other way and went after Fuzor.
Fuzor not realizing he had left Kazeki behind kept going and saw Jonathan turn away and run away from the school as a loud scream echoed. Fuzor then realized it sounded like Kei and ran after Jonathan screaming,
"Hey Jonathan!! Wait up!!"
Jonathan not hearing him just kept on going. Fuzor then turns to his left where he thought Kazeki was and was about to tell him they should follow but realized Kazeki wasn't even there but way behind...
"What the hell? Kazeki, what are you doing you dummy? Get your slow ass over here, we gotta' follow him!"
Kazeki breathing heavily considering he had to double his efforts in running to catch up to Fuzor considering they had earlier went seperate directions, could only nod.
As they ran, they finally got to the area where Kei was. They were shocked by how the ground had erupted and was in devastation. Kazeki looked backwards trying to see if it had reached anywhere else but couldn't see any other disturbances. He gave a sigh of relief and looked foward again. He then looked dumbfounded when he realized that Fuzor was already running towards Jonathan again as a huge demonic figure was about to topple him. He could only say...
"What the hell?"
But he then turned towards Kei as if it were instinct. And to his surprise, he saw another large demonic figure walking towards Kei and was about to deliver the final blow when he sprinted as fast as he could and then, all went blank for him as a bolt of lightning struck him...

Fuzor jumped kicked the demon from the side only to barely move it out of the way from landing on Jonathan, but the momentum he had was stopped by the big bulky mass of the demon and he fell on Jonathan instead of going with the demon. Jonathan, still unconcious didn't even react.
Fuzor sighed in relief, "Phew, good thing he wasn't awake. I guess that hurt me more then anyone else..."
Fuzor got off of Jonathan as quick as he could and tried to wake him up. Then, a huge bolt of lightning hit him from behind and he was knocked unconcious.

The large red demon proclaim in a victorious voice, as if boasting,
"Because you never stood a chance against me anyways..."
Then, out of nowhere, a being emitting a dark aura with two black wings come between the two and punched the demon right in the face from his right blind spot with energy that dispersed and sent lightning all around while sending the demon four feet to the side.
This new angelic looking creature was floating above Kei like a savior, a champion. He slowly landed on one foot gracefully and then set down the other while still looking at the demon. Kei, unable to keep his eyes open any longer passed out.

The demon, now pissed, got up to see who had dared to strike him. His faced changed from anger to shock when he saw who it was. It was Shikazetori, the Angel of Chaos!
Shikazetori, "Fool, you dare to look at me with such insolence? I should make you suffer for an eternity for that! Rhiner, do you defy me? Bow down to your MASTER!"
Shikazetori's voice echoed with fervor and majestic pulses.
Rhiner could only react in fear and bowed as he was told.
Rhiner, "My lord, I'm sorry, but what is the meaning of this?"
Shikazetori, "First insolence, then defiance and now questioning? Do not talk to me unless I ask of you to use your voice!"
Rhiner's eyes expanded and grew with his fear at the previous statement.
Shikazetori only glared at him. "Hmph, since I'm going to kill you anyways for your insolence, I guess I'll tell you... Since you're such a low level being, you cannot sense the presense of something far greater then you I suppose, but this child that you tried to kill was none other then our master, Seishin Ryu. He is the reincarnation. Although he may not seem like it, it is because he has dual personalities, the present child that is growing, and the spirit of Shi no Kami that lies within to give the child guidence..."
Rhiner begged, "My lord, my apologies! Please, forgive my pathetic existence! Do not kill me!"
Shikazetori's face veered into an expression of pure hatred and anger... "You DARE ORDER ME TO SPARE YOUR LIFE?" He slowly stepped towards the now groveling creature.
Rhiner whined, "I did not mean it that way my lord-"
Shikazetori started to mouth phrases, casting a spell...
Rhiner continued, "-when I was begging, I was asking, pleading, please, I did not mean for it to sound like an order, I beg-"
Shikazetori finished his last verse and at that instant, Shikazetori put his hand infront of the beast's chest and materialized a blade of energy that gathered and formed straight through Rhiner, killing him in the process. He then slowly pulled the energy blade out and dismantled it by having the blade burst into pieces, sending bolts of lightning in multiple directions.
Shikazetori, "Hmmm... it seems you are incomplete master, but I will watch over you. However, I cannot understand why you chose this youth of all your decendants to inhabit. He doesn't seem special at all, although, his earlier abilities that were displaed seem promising... Still..."
And then... Shikazetori faded into nothingness...

And thats all i got so far.... well.. at least i didn't leave any of you new readers hanging, because i actually wrote chap 3 last night and posted it this morning.. so... for those of you who read last night, be satisfied that i finished off the beginning for you ^^

In the early stages of the world, when war was the settlement between all men, when pride and honor was all that mattered and only the strongest survived... a demon appeared before the world - one known as Shi no Kami (God of Death), feared by all; his name, Seishin Ryu.
As the sun set on a serenely beautiful midsummer night, you could hear nothing in the calm serene silence...
Graced by a red tinted moon, it was peaceful. Yet suddenly, as a man began to run, he gathered followers as he ran, and the peace was shattered as they called out, ?Seishin Ryu has come! Everyone, we must defend ourselves!"
As Seishin Ryu leaped onto a rooftop, he heard a crack and found swords piercing the tile, and pikes came erupting from where he stood.
He says "Damn, they're armed already?"
He sprints along the roof, trying frantically to dodge the weapons springing up all around him in a random effort to kill him.
He jumps far and high in what seemed an open and clear path, as he heard the strings of bows ring clear and sound through the night, as arrows came towards him! He turns his head towards his right, only to see thousands of arrows rain upon him.
He screams as the force of the arrows bit into him, pinning him to the ground. The sound echoed of the landing as Seishin Ryu felt the air get knocked out of him.He passed out as the pain began to slowly overtake him.
Thus, the life of the legend, the legacy, Seishin Ryu - Shi no Kami, ended. However, the proginies of his clan did not die away with him.
The family that he had fathered cast away their direct relation to him, yet retained his name ignoring the discrimination from society.
No one would dare to harm them in fear of the family's power and capabilites. The family was an elite clan composed of natural talents, born year after year, each which could succeed and hone their powers in their bloodline elements Katon (Fire style) and Kageton (Shadow Style).
A thousand years later, as the clan nears destruction, a youth discovers his potential?

Kei awakens suddenly, in the morning a couple hours before dawn, unaware of why he'd woken up. Looking at his clock he sees its only 4:32 A.M. He flops back down onto his pillow in an attemp to go back to sleep but couldn't. He was bothered for some reason,
but all he understood was the uneasy feeling he had going down his back, unwavering. Kei instantly knew that today was going to be
a bad day to have awoken to.
Grumbling as he got out of bed and tired with lazy eyes, he puts out his hand to help him find his way to the bathroom to wash his face.
The lights turn on and he went through his daily routine of soaking a towel is hot water and puts the tooth paste on his tooth brush and
then sprinkling some hot water on it before brushing his teeth. He drains the water and lifts the towel as he brushes, wiping his face at the same time. As he brings the towel over his eyes, he feels a chill go down his back. When he finishes bring the towel away from his eyes he sees a familiar face. He doesn't know why it is familiar, and after a moment, he realizes the face isn't his own and is instantly shocked and somewhat afraid. He gasps as he blinks and opens his eyes again, finding the face had disappeared. After a moment, he sighed and finished brushing his teeth before leaving the bathroom, while turning off the light behind him.
Kei walks downstairs and entered a dark room with a family portrait of his father, mother, brother and sister. He prayed in front of the faces of his passed on family, and left for the kitchen to make breakfast.
As he walks towards the hall he noticed a small light begin to come towards the entrance way. The light got brighter as it approaches and then his sister Hikaru appears. Suddenly he realizes that she was a ghost. She smiles at him and he smiles back. Kei walked by and into his kitchen where he finds breakfast already made. Then he remembered the reason why he could see Hikaru. It's the second anniversery of their deaths. Although in pain, he was glad they were allowed to visit him from Heaven. Kei turns around and sees his mother. His face brightens and he yells excitedly "Mom!" and runs to embrace her. As he stepped through her, slightly shocked, he realizes the truth: that even though they can visit, even if his family can touch the items in the house, they cannot touch each other... Sadly, he turns to face his mother and says in a meloncholy tone "It's good to see you again."
After eating his favorite foods that his mother cooked, he got up to leave. As he steps outside, he sees his father and waves goodbye. Outside infront of the mailbox, he sees his cousin - Jonathan - paying his respects. After Jonathan finishes, he says "Hey, so I guess today is gonna' be a little good for you huh?"
Kei replies, "Yeah, I guess so..."
Jonathan tries to encourage, "Awww, c'mon, at least you got to see them again today right?"
Kei sighed heavily. "Let's not talk about it, okay?"
Jonathan pauses before saying "Sure..."
And they walk off to school.

As they're walking, Jonathan excitedly asks, "Hey, have you seen what's on the news?"
Kei replies, "No, sup?"
Jonathan - "Dude, they're like these huge canyons ripping up all over the place. And they say it looks like chasms of fire, and some people are saying it's a hole to Hell..."
Kei laughed, "Hahahahah, you sure this was in the news and not your wacked out imagination?"
Jonathan, "No way! Dude, I'm so serious, like they say there're humanoid looking creatures towards the bottom that are trying to climb up."
Sarcastically, Kei said, "Hmph, maybe it's my parents coming back to life?"
Jonathan - "You really shouldn't take this lightly and joke about your parents like that... but anyways, there are these problems they are getting too. Because they're having all these equipment failures and explosions whenever they try and get close to the rift. And people who walk by get like half their clothes blown off and if they're too close still, they get burned.'
Kei - "HAHA, nice... hope they're some hot girls too, then maybe I'll actually start watching the news. Man, you sure you should be going to school when you're hallucinating?"
Jonathan yelled, "Screw you, I'm f***in' serious, this is crazy, it's
almost like what our grandparents used to say about all that crazy stuff that happened back in like the feudal ages and stuff where you
could use magic and had special abilities."
Kei started to get mad - "You don't actually believe that stuff do you? Because if it were true, are you saying it's true that my family were killed by demons? HUH?" Now angry, "You think it's true that some f***in' freaks just came out of the f***in' ground and killed my parents right in front of my eyes and slaughter my bro and sis? What the F***?! I didn't see sh** like that at all... if anything, they were shot, and I saw bullets and I heard gun shots you-"
Jonathan slightly angry now too, "Hey, I didn't say that! Dude, I'm just sayin'..., back off will ya? Besides, they say you wouldn't see them because you were in too much shock... so what you saw probably wasn't what happened...
Kei even more angrily "What, and you think we can shoot fire balls out of our mouths? I haven't seen you f***in' do it before? You think we can jump twenty feet into the air and come crashing down without a scratch like some f***in' anime? I don't believe in-"

Suddenly, the ground started shaking and cracks started to appear everywhere. Kei turns around "What the hell?"
Jonathan - "Well, I guess this is where we find out if they're real or not huh? I hope your ready, because I believe there are magic and demons, and I also believe we are decendants of a god!" As Jonathan said that, his eyes flared and shimmered for a split second with a light blue haze. Kei, now confused, could only look at him. As the ground erupted and split apart, Kei and Jonathan grabbed onto oppossite sides as it split.
Kei turns around and screams, "Jonathan!" Jonathan only looked back, confident at what he said earlier and turned away and lept back up. Kei was confused at how well Jonathan could control his body under such circumstances, as if Jonathan had gotten more athletic and fit then he was just a few seconds ago. Kei felt air pushing against him, then heat. The pressure from the heated air gushed forward and blew him out of the canyon and ten feet into the air to the side. He came crashing down with a thud. Kei moans as he realizes he is still alive, so he tries to get up, but is slowed by the pain. "Ack, damn... I feel like I'm about to die already. Yah, some super powers alright... he was just lucky or the air helped push him up."
Suddenly a large foot came crashing down right infront of him. It was red and had a rock like texture, with seven claws mounted as if formed to help it pierce through a tank. As Kei looked up, his face slowly contorted in horror as he stared at the horrific monster leaning above him and strangely, the being spoke as he raised his foot- "Heh, so we meet again. Die you pathetic weakling." Confused at first that the creature had spoken English, Kei reacted fast enough to avoid getting stepped on.
Kei confronted the creature asking, "What are you?"
The creature replied, "A demon, created from the fires of Hell by the God of Heaven to serve and bring death to all those who are failures."
Kei noticed a large "S" shaped scar across the demon's left side of the face. And then, At that moment, ten small rodent like creatures came out of the chasm, bearing humanoid type features but their flesh was formed in a way of a type of carapace.
Kei jumps back and tries to turn and run but as he was turning, he felt a hand with three claws grab his shoulder. Kei yells as he turned and
punched the thing in the face,
"Get off me!"
Although he had punched the small demon, he believed he felt more pain because the demon didn't look phased at all while he felt like he had punched a wall of ten-inch solid steel. He cringed and recoiled in pain, cursing. The smaller demon then lifted Kei by his shoulders which looked like an impossible feet considering he was seemingly only half the size
of a regular teenager, and throws Kei five feet away.
As Kei fell, he heard a voice, "Kei, believe in your power..."And somehow, as he heard and listened to this voice, he felt renewed and filled with vigor. Kei caught himself and landed on his feet as he skidded backwards on his hands and feet. Confused, he just stood there as the demons came, one after the other screaming random words of how they intended to kill him.
Even after this refreshing feel, Kei still felt doubt, as if he was about to die. Then, the voice came again, "You have to live on, you
have to avenge your family, and you have to obtain your destiny..."
Kei repeated, "My destiny...I have to... live... for my... destiny...
I have to live... No..." and then he screamed, "I MUST LIIIVVVE!!!"
Kei turned towards the closest demon and flattened his palm, as if to
make his hand into a blade, with his fingers pointed all in one direction and then thrusted his hand forward towards the demon's chest. Suprisingly to Kei, his hand and half his arm went straight through the demon's chest, spilling blood both from the back and front. The other demons paused and started to regroup, now suddenly surprise.
Kei just slowly lowers his arm with the body and the body slowly slid off, as if the hand had torn off more then just the flesh that his
hand had pierced. In shock, he lifted his hand and looked at how blood stained it was. Even though the demon's were not human, they still
had the same tint to their blood and he could feel how warm it was. Pain shot through his mind as a flash of how his family died, and then
he saw the truth. Demons pouring out of a ripped tunnel under a large oak tree. And they came charging towards Kei and his family like
bullets, and stabbed them to death... leaving only Kei. And then, a large demonic being stood over him, and then, all he remembered was
a bolt of lightning struck the demon on the face, leaving a large scar across the left side in the shape of an "S" as a familiar voice spoke to him. Then the same voice, but so much more familiar now, came to Kei again as he snapped back into reality.
"Use your power that you have. Use that beautiful power that you have running through your veins, use that power that you inherited from Seishin Ryu! Do not waver, let your emotions guide you and then defeat all who oppose you!"
No longer in fear, that innocence that filled him earlier as he looked at his blood stained hands disappeared as he clenched his fist. His eyes now filled with confidence just as he had seen in Jonathan's earlier.
"Now I understand, I have this power, it is not fake, and I will... I must... SURVIVE!" Rage filled Kei as he turned towards the nine other demons and he charged at them.

Jonathan leaped from the cliff of the ravine, onto stable ground. He turns toward the school to make sure that there were no other openings around the area. As he started to run, he quickly glanced back to check on Kei. He then sees it, the proof of what he believed was possible - that they could use techniques of old to fight just as the family legends told of, as Kei ran his hand through a demon infront of him and completely impaled the beast. Even though he had firmly believed in the tales, he was still in shock by the power that was just displayed. However, it relieved him to know that now, there was a way to survive if anything were to attack him also.
When he reached the school, he saw that it was still untouched. The blinds were open in some of the classes and he could see that the school must have announced the shockwave, of the chasm that opened, to be just an earthquake. Realizing that the people at school would mostlikely not believe him, he turned around and acknowledged the fact that he would have to be the last line of defence.
Jonathan drew in a deep breathe and he clenched his fists in preparation for what could happen. While at the same time...

Kei reached the first of the other nine demons that were left and punched him in the face with his right hand followed by a jumping left kick to knock the demon down. Another demon came and tackled him from the left side that he left open and he fell down easily yelling in pain as he noticed the claws had scratched and ripped at his skin. The demon then lifted his right claw to deliver the final blow to Kei's face. Wasting no time, Kei quickly repeated his earlier movement of flattening his palm and tried to strike the demon in the chest, however, the demon lowered his right hand's angle to try and cancel out the attack. This moved Kei's fingers back and broke a couple of the finger bones. Kei yelled in agony as the pain quickly shot into his whole arm. The demon then tightened his grip on Kei's hand and slowly ripped and broke the four fingers that were pointed at him. Kei's eyes widened as he felt his hand being broken to pieces right in front of him and he screamed as loud as he could.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
His earlier momentum and confidence started to deminish as he felt he was going to die soon. The demon wanted otherwise, he wanted to slowly torcher this human that he saw as a pathetic being who just happend to luckily kill a fellow demon. The demon didn't understand how this flimsy, fragile, pathetic and oblong creature could have killed one of his kind who were obviously more physically superior. None the less, he grinned happily as he continued to crush this human's "claw."

Jonathan heard a loud scream of agony coming from where he had left Kei. He turned his head towards the direction of the scream and felt a shot of pain and agony, as if he could share his cousin's pain. He feared the worse, thinkin that Kei could have died already, even though he had earlier displayed such promising abilities. He quickly dashed back to where they were to get to Kei as soon as possible.
As he neared the chasm, he saw his cousin lying on the ground with the little demons he had seen earlier standing around him, each waiting to torture him. Jonathan felt somewhat relieved to know that his cousin was not dead yet. He then saw, out of the corner of his eye, a much larger demon-like being. He almost towered over all of the smaller ones and Kei, even from the distance he was away from them. Jonathan quickly scanned the area to find somewhere, anywhere the chasm hadn't ripped too far apart or hadn't ripped at all so that he could cross. He saw it, to the left. His face brightened as he ran there to quickly aid Kei. A large flame shot up from the chasm and flowed over towards Jonathan. He looked towards it and quickly judged how to dodge it and threw himself towards the right. He fell and rolled over to the side and was stopped by something large and solid. Jonathan looked up to see a large, bear like demon, like the demon across the chasm that was looking upon Kei. There were 3 others with him but this one infront of him, this other large demon lifted Jonathan by his head with just one hand-like claw. The ends of the claw slightly bit into Jonathan's head which hurt a lot more then he thought it would. Realizing that he could not waste anytime and that this demon wasn't going to willing let go of him, he screamed
"F***in' bastard! Get your hands off of me!"
and he grabbed onto the long arm with both of his and flung his legs onto it to hang on. He then lifted his right leg and kicked the demon in the face while crossing his left over the arm and under the shoulder. He tilted his body slightly to the left and tightend his leg to dislocate the arm.
The demon let go because of the pain and Jonathan, relentlessly continued to try and kill this thing before it could recover. Jonathan let go of the arm to fall freely to the ground and he spun while doing so to land on his arms and legs. He quickly jumped off from that position towards the demon and elbowed it in the gut. The demon grunted in pain while almost falling back from the hit. Feeling energy in his arms, he remembered the training, and the words that he was taught.
Jonathan spoke them in a way, as if chanting them while focusing energy into his right hand that was free -
"Fiery Death of Chaos
Erupt from my Fist
Create Death all around
Raise fire from even Ashes!"
Small parts of energy began to gather around him and the demon. They slowly turned into a red light that emitted large amounts of heat, the little bits then turned into small flames and gathered and flickered around the two, while slowly engulfing them. The path then slowly smoothed into a sphere around them and centered into Jonathan's palm. Jonathan finished the technique he was performing... -
"Fire Style, Fire Sphere Technique!"
At that moment, the energy dispersed around them and engulfed them as an energy ball that surrounded so tightly that all you could see were the fiery glow of the attack, and then, like a mushroom cloud, the energy shot upwards above all their heads and dispersed into four directions while taking off the head of the demon that was infront of Jonathan, all aiming towards the ground and the other three demons that were still alive. The flames shot towards the other three in a constant stream that drained at the sphere till it disappeared and they rapidly seared the demons and exploded on the chests while ripping through them before they finally hit the ground. Jonathan, now barely able to stand, felt like he had been hit by a truck and almost passed out, but his will to save Kei pulled him forward. And oddly, the demon whos head was now burned off, still stood erect. Jonathan, not able to move any further just stood there in a trance, about to fall down, as if he was knocked unconcious. He breathed heavily and closed his eyes slowly and fell to the ground. And then the body of the demon began to fall on top of him with the spikes of the arm aimed towards him...

Kei felt heat, pressure and pain. As he heard Jonathan scream, he tried to look to his side but was distracted by the demon on top of him. Now he could feel real pain that was unbelievable. It was tremendous, it shot through his arm, he felt it in his shoulder, and then he knew, the demon was breaking his entire arm through just his hand. Kei's faced torted in horror and his eyes widened with fear.
Kei thought to himself, "What can I do? I have no chance, not against this... was that earlier kill just a fluke?"
He then felt a warm glow forming from his left side, across the chasm. He felt energy being drawn into a focal point. He turned and saw Jonathan chanting words, but too low for him to hear, and then, he saw energy gather around him, and then the energy turned into small flames and gathered, and melded together to form around him. The energy then came into a spot in his hand and as Jonathan shouted "Fire Style, Fire Sphere Technique!" the energy exploded in flames around him and shot upwards and came raining down in four directions killing the demons that surrounded him.
Kei then thought to himself, "Wait, that was something we learned, something I didn't want to pay much attention to because I didn't think it was possible, but it's true..." He then said with hope in his voice "We can use magic..."
Kei's eyes flared again, filled with confidence once more, he quickly remembered some of what he had learned from his grandparents and chanted while he moved his hand towards his chest and placed his palm on it -
"Cold Strength from Darkness
Come Forth from with-"
Pain shot through his arm, the demon had clenched harder and had now rammed his other hand into Kei's shoulder, obviously the demon knew something of what was to come, but this didn't stop Kei -
"-in"
Kei drew in a quick deep breathe to gain strength to finish the spell -
"Power of the stars
Chaotic fury blossom
Lay waste to all around me
Raise Shadow from Darkness!"
Strans of dark light gathered towards Kei's body and incased him in an luminescent glow. The glow was black but had a tint of dark blue that hazed over and around. It almost looked beautiful in a strange and majestic way. And then the light intesified.
"Shadow Style, Nova of Chaos!"
Then the energy shocked Kei and drew him upwards and erupted. He gasped and drew in air quickly as the energy streamed out into a sphere of four meters in radius, killing off all the demons at once. The energy formed a dark ball that streamed around and circled the area it had erupted and as quickly as it had appeared and erupted, it drew itself back in a vaccuum motion like a dark hole and disappeared.
Kei stunned and drained from the energy he had released went into shock from pain that surged all through out his body. He had never felt any pain like this before. It was like electricty moving throughout - shocking and burning within his skin, his muscles, his bones. His body started to contract almost into a spasm but then it slowly subsided. Now breathing heavily, as if he sufficated, he tried desperately to draw in air. His body was covered in sweat almost instantly from the heat of the energy that was released. He moaned
"Uhhh... sooo much pa.. pa.. pain-..."
Gasping and breathing heavily, he layed there, exhausted and closed his eyes.
Then, as he felt he was about to pass out, his eyes popped open, only to realized he was now being approached by the large demon he saw ealier with the S shaped scar on his face. Kei looked up in mixed feelings of anger and fear as the demon raised his arms and pointed his claw-ish hands towards him. They came down swiftly to deliver the final blow. And the demon spoke -
"Hmph. You may have managed to kill those weaklings, however you may have done it. Mostlikely it was by luck, but it seems your luck as ran out. Now die, screaming in agony so that I can enjoy this killing. Because you never stood a chance against me anyways..."

As Jonathan began to walk over to where Kei was to help him... the energy that had disapated from his earlier technique started to take its toll on him. He waivered as he felt drained of all his energy and he slowly fell forward without any resistance.
He hit the ground with a thud. This caused small bits of shockwaves that shook the earlier motionless, and don't forget headless, body of the demon he had slain earlier to start to tilt forward and towards him.

Fuzor sat in class, almost falling asleep as usual. Fuzor could be called Kei's best friend if you will. He was always ten minutes early to class everyday so that he could not worry about being late and get cosy enough to sleep in class. The funny thing was, even though he slept for about sixty percent of the class, he was always the highest scorer on all the quizzes and tests. Very calm and wise for his years. He was a very contradictory character because he was very childish and energetic at times yet wise and calm other times. He was very athletic and was six feet one inch. His family came from a temple who raised monks to worship bears and was always able to tame them, however that was possible. Because of this, Fuzor was always very facinated by bears and always had a keen sense of being able to relate to them. His clothes were always uniform, yet had a sense of savage and untamed wild look to it. Again, very contradictory. No one every knew why he was called "Fuzor" considering it was an odd name. No one knew his real name, but everyone did know that he had his parents change his name to Fuzor just because of his own personal reasons that he never said. Some people thought he was weird for this but he made up for it with his other traits, such as his energetic outlook and his ability to make things fun for everyone.
Kazeki, who sat right next to him, was also one of Kei's best friends who was sort of the slacker type. He had just gotten to school and on time for once since he actually turned his clock hand fifteen minutes faster to make up for his procrastination. Kazeki was always a joker and was sometimes... very stupid, to be blunt. However, he's always there for his friends so there was no need to worry when it came to loyalty from him. He was a bit mysterious, no one knew of his parents, where he lived, or anything of the sort, it always seemed to be washed away from the records but put in when needed. He always seemed to be day dreaming, with a blank look on his face...
As Fuzor and Kazeki were in class chatting for a little about Hikari, (the chick Kei had a huge crush on but never talked to) and how they should set up a way for Kei to look like an idiot infront of her for laughs, a huge shockwave came flowing in towards the school, causing a massive earthquake. Remembering some of the news reports they had seen earlier the day before, Kazeki looked towards Fuzor to see if he remembered. Fuzor nodded his head. As the other students prepared for the earthquake evacuation and so forth, Fuzor and Kazeki bolted out of the school. Kazeki went away from the shockwave while Fuzor went to the front of the school. When Kazeki realized he just got ditched, he turned the other way and went after Fuzor.
Fuzor not realizing he had left Kazeki behind kept going and saw Jonathan turn away and run away from the school as a loud scream echoed. Fuzor then realized it sounded like Kei and ran after Jonathan screaming,
"Hey Jonathan!! Wait up!!"
Jonathan not hearing him just kept on going. Fuzor then turns to his left where he thought Kazeki was and was about to tell him they should follow but realized Kazeki wasn't even there but way behind...
"What the hell? Kazeki, what are you doing you dummy? Get your slow ass over here, we gotta' follow him!"
Kazeki breathing heavily considering he had to double his efforts in running to catch up to Fuzor considering they had earlier went seperate directions, could only nod.
As they ran, they finally got to the area where Kei was. They were shocked by how the ground had erupted and was in devastation. Kazeki looked backwards trying to see if it had reached anywhere else but couldn't see any other disturbances. He gave a sigh of relief and looked foward again. He then looked dumbfounded when he realized that Fuzor was already running towards Jonathan again as a huge demonic figure was about to topple him. He could only say...
"What the hell?"
But he then turned towards Kei as if it were instinct. And to his surprise, he saw another large demonic figure walking towards Kei and was about to deliver the final blow when he sprinted as fast as he could and then, all went blank for him as a bolt of lightning struck him...

Fuzor jumped kicked the demon from the side only to barely move it out of the way from landing on Jonathan, but the momentum he had was stopped by the big bulky mass of the demon and he fell on Jonathan instead of going with the demon. Jonathan, still unconcious didn't even react.
Fuzor sighed in relief, "Phew, good thing he wasn't awake. I guess that hurt me more then anyone else..."
Fuzor got off of Jonathan as quick as he could and tried to wake him up. Then, a huge bolt of lightning hit him from behind and he was knocked unconcious.

The large red demon proclaim in a victorious voice, as if boasting,
"Because you never stood a chance against me anyways..."
Then, out of nowhere, a being emitting a dark aura with two black wings come between the two and punched the demon right in the face from his right blind spot with energy that dispersed and sent lightning all around while sending the demon four feet to the side.
This new angelic looking creature was floating above Kei like a savior, a champion. He slowly landed on one foot gracefully and then set down the other while still looking at the demon. Kei, unable to keep his eyes open any longer passed out.

---==Begin Climax==---
The demon, now pissed, got up to see who had dared to strike him. His faced changed from anger to shock when he saw who it was. It was Shikazetori, the Angel of Chaos!
Shikazetori, "Fool, you dare to look at me with such insolence? I should make you suffer for an eternity for that! Rhiner, do you defy me? Bow down to your MASTER!"
Shikazetori's voice echoed with fervor and majestic pulses.
Rhiner could only react in fear and bowed as he was told.
Rhiner, "My lord, I'm sorry, but what is the meaning of this?"
Shikazetori, "First insolence, then defiance and now questioning? Do not talk to me unless I ask of you to use your voice!"
Rhiner's eyes expanded and grew with his fear at the previous statement.
Shikazetori only glared at him. "Hmph, since I'm going to kill you anyways for your insolence, I guess I'll tell you... Since you're such a low level being, you cannot sense the presense of something far greater then you I suppose, but this child that you tried to kill was none other then our master, Seishin Ryu. He is the reincarnation. Although he may not seem like it, it is because he has dual personalities, the present child that is growing, and the spirit of Shi no Kami that lies within to give the child guidence..."
Rhiner begged, "My lord, my apologies! Please, forgive my pathetic existence! Do not kill me!"
Shikazetori's face veered into an expression of pure hatred and anger... "You DARE ORDER ME TO SPARE YOUR LIFE?" He slowly stepped towards the now groveling creature.
Rhiner whined, "I did not mean it that way my lord-"
Shikazetori started to mouth phrases, casting a spell...
Rhiner continued, "-when I was begging, I was asking, pleading, please, I did not mean for it to sound like an order, I beg-"
Shikazetori finished his last verse and at that instant, Shikazetori put his hand infront of the beast's chest and materialized a blade of energy that gathered and formed straight through Rhiner, killing him in the process. He then slowly pulled the energy blade out and dismantled it by having the blade burst into pieces, sending bolts of lightning in multiple directions.
Shikazetori, "Hmmm... it seems you are incomplete master, but I will watch over you. However, I cannot understand why you chose this youth of all your decendants to inhabit. He doesn't seem special at all, although, his earlier abilities that were displaed seem promising... Still..."
And then... Shikazetori faded into nothingness...

And thats all i got so far.... well.. at least i didn't leave any of you new readers hanging, because i actually wrote chap 3 last night and posted it this morning.. so... for those of you who read last night, be satisfied that i finished off the beginning for you ^^
