Juline and Shaolin Sisters manga

Has anyone read Juline? I flipped through it in the bookstore and I thought that it looked pretty good. It only has five books and I'll probably get them next week when I get paid!! hehe :P Just wanted to know if anyone here enjoyed it or hated it?! The top of the book said that it was created by the same person who created Vampire Princess Miyu. Shaolin Sisters is more like a spin off of the Juline manga. The first book is avaliable now and I think that the 2nd one will come out in April. Juline finds out that she has sisters and she goes to find them. I bought the first three books of Juline last summer and thought it was okay. I just got the first book of Shaolin Sisters a few days ago and hated it. There's nothing wowish in it. Maybe it's cuz I got other manga too and I kept on comparing it to them? Or maybe cuz I'm more into the girly anime that focuses more on romance rather than martial arts or whatever. *shrugs* Anyways don't be put off by what I said. If you loved Juline you might like Shaolin Sisters. Hope I was helpful enough.

I forgot to update. I bought all of the Juline manga and the first 2 books of Shaolin Sisters. I really like them both. Juline is a little depressing and violent, but Shaolin Sisters is a little different. I can't wait to finish reading the next 3 books. I love the older sister Seline. She's cool!! 8) 8)

Hmmm, I have been eyeing Shaolin Sisters sisters, it looks good and different. So of the two, which is your fav so far Evil Enchantress? And do you think one should Juline to be able to follow S S well? Now that I know you like it I so want to get it, since we tend to like the same stuff, btw when did you change you're name? Eek, took me a few there, I was like, I think that Saiyan :lol:

Hmmm...I have to say that I like Shaolin Sisters a little better than Juline. Even if you didn't read Juline, you wouldn't be lost reading Shaolin Sisters. Juline flashbacks to little in Shaolin Sisters to get the jist of what happened in the Juline series. Shaolin Sisters is a little more lighthearted than Juline. It has mystery and some sad scenes in it, but in my opnion it's not as depressing as Juline. Don't get me wrong, Juline is good but around book 3 and on it gets depressing. Hope that helps. :D :D

I recently buy Shaolin Sister Vol.1, it's my first manga, i read it in about 4 hours, and i never thought that manga was the way it is.
I like it! MORE MORE :D

I read a bit of Juline through SMILE (monthly manga thingy, set out by Tokyopop I believe... my subscription ran out but they didn't send me a subscription renewal notice or anything so woops :oops: ). I thought it had great art, but it reminded me of Fushigi Yuugi. I haven't seen FY, but everyone has a general idea of what goes on there :wink: That doesn't make it BAD, of course, but...
