I love Halloween. :D It's always so fun...

Is anybody gonna dress up for it or am I the only freak here? ¤LOL¤ I'm dressing up cuz my friend's birthday is on Halloween...so yeah...she HAS to make it a costume party! We're probably gonna relive our childhood and go trick or treating...and scare the $h!t out of a few people in the cane fields.

Dunno what I'm gonna be yet though...any ideas?

Jake.

Halloween .. this year might actually be fun. I'm not going as anything but myself though. I must buy some silly string for sure, I remember last year I trick and treated for about six hours straight, I had like two whole bags full of candy which were damn heavy if you ask me. DAMN CRAZY LADY MAKING US WALK ABOUT A MILE FROM OUR HOMES! ... ;;

Vampire_Lowell
10-01-2002, 07:05 AM
Nahh I think this year I'm just gonna stay home and do my usual routine of getting out the water hose and waiting outside for those little kids to say "TRICK Or..."
And spray them with water.

...I'm just kidding
I'll be at home just giving out treats.

I ALREADY dressed up. UHS (University Honor Society) had a movie premiere where we had to dress up as movie characters. My friend and I dressed up as Lilo and Stitch. She made the cutest Stitch head!!! SO cool!!!!

Hm... I keep saying that if anyone will make me a dress (with all the ornamentation) and get me hair extensions, then I would so do: http://kakalina_forever.home.attbi.com/amgbell3.jpg

That's also my desktop btw. Oh well. Pics to come. Also, if anyone has any cool ideas for 2 guys and 2 girls to dress up as together, I'd apprecate it!!!

W00t! Halloween is coming! *cough* Anyway, I'm still actually going trick or treating, although some of my friends have decided against participating. Since I'm still in my "anime craze" stage of my life, I'm having thoughts about being some certain characters from anime shows, like Mutsumi-chan, Kaoru-dono, etc. Can I get any suggestions?

Rurouni Gatts

If I did go to a halloween party, I'd go as Gatts from my fanfic. I'm all about black trenchcoats and swords. ^^

10-01-2002, 03:45 PM
With my luck, I'll have to work on Halloween...and if I don't, I'll be hiding at school, doing work. *sighs*

But hey, maybe I'll dress as Yuki-chan or something. At least add some fun to my day. We'll just have to see. Either way, I get candy. :D

Lady_Kitsune
10-01-2002, 03:52 PM
I have a black trench coat...but no swords (not even a plastic toy). -_- Oh wells...

My mom has some cat ears and a velcro tail thing, so maybe I'll go as a cat girl. Get one of those kinda thick collars with a bell on it (or sew one on)...paint on some kitty whiskers...

Or maybe use fishing line as whiskers...hmmm. The fishing line would be more 3D...so I think it'd look better than if it were painted, but I dunno how I'd stick them on. :? And they'd droop, wouldn't they? ¤sigh¤ Decisions, decisions...

Bah, humbug. In the words of the Comic Book Guy:

WORST... HOLIDAY... EVER.

I loathe this holiday with a passion. Our house gets bombed, people purposely scare each other, stores are covered in ugly looking masks... I just hate everything about it. (And in that I'm hypoglycemic and can't have ANY candy.)

Rurouni Gatts
10-01-2002, 04:08 PM
Well, I'm sure you'll do fine with whatever you decide to go as. ^^ As for myself, I got the plastic sword, just not a black trenchcoat (which I want so bad)^^. But have fun being a cat girl, Kitsune. Nyao! ^_^

my best friend and i are planning to go out trick-or-treating, like we do every year...or we might stay at my house and set up some elaborate haunted house and scare the crap out of people. we might be going to Knotts Berry Farm's Halloween Haunt w/ a group of friends, even though it'll be insanely crowded there on Halloween night. so i'm not sure just yet what i'll be doing.

Paranoid_Janitor
10-01-2002, 09:56 PM
If I do dress up, I'd get a jumpsuit and a mop and I'd be a janitor (I wonder where that came from?). More than likely though, I'll end up going to a friend's house and watch anime or a scary movie.

Halloween... What's that? Err.

I'm dressing up as Chii. Or something that looks like Chii would wear... _-_ And I give out the candies! And scare the heck out of the kids by saying, "Chiiii?"

John Hea
10-02-2002, 08:28 PM
Hmmm...

How about getting very sexy clothes and turn the back to the cars on the streets at late time and then watch their reactions as they stop by you and watch your face... like with a beard or something... ^_^;
Nah... I'd have to shave my legs and anyway it's sick... Why am I even posting that?

Bah, this years halloween will be celebrated in the usual way.

Walking around shouting insults to all people that dress up or in any way acknowledge that it is halloween. oh, and scaring small kids.

"Trick or treeeaaat?"
*juggles his knife*
"Weell....I'm not quite sure....Do you all have working spleens?"
*glares evilly at small kids*

That is really the only good way to celebrate halloween ^_^

Lady_Kitsune
10-03-2002, 12:19 AM
Oh that's right...I completely forgot!!! Haunted houses!!! I know there's gonna be one not too far from where I live. Dunno if it'll really be that great though, since I know practically everyone who'll be in it. ¤LOL¤

And that thing about dressing up and having a beard...that reminds me...I think the most popular costume for guys in high school was to come as a girl...it's pretty hilarious! You just have to love how creative they are when it comes to creating their fake breasts...¤LOL¤

Hmm... Well, I really dunno what Halloween's going to be like this year. I did have the thought of pulling together an Arabian type outfit and taking some pics... ^^; But it would also be cool to use Halloween as an excuse to dress up as an anime character. Then again... the 31st is not that far off, and I don't have anything yet...
At my old school, everyone used to love Halloween because we could wear non dress code clothes and claim we were dressed up as normal teenagers. =P
Oh well, I guess the key thing is to read scary stories or watch a freaky movie and general render myself terrified of every tiny sound. ^^

Growing up in Alabama, it's been a little different for me. Oh, wait, this is California. Disregard that first sentence.
It is different around my house, though. We didn't even go trick-or-treatin'. Nope, Halloween is a time where the streets are filled with psychos coming out to play. There is truth to that, actually. People stick razor blades in the apples they give out, apparently; other people put hamster poison in their candy to see how many kids they can get dead by the end of the night or the next morning. Kidnappings, murders, those were all possible threats.
'Course, I never saw any of that. No, it's quite mild around my neighborhood. Anyway, instead of trick-o-treatin', my family would stick around the house "scaring" the people that came up to take our candy away.
Oh, but it wasn't exactly candy. It was popcorn, mainly, sometimes raisins (in those little boxes). So if there were any left over, we could eat it. Yes, you guessed it; my mother doesn't allow sugar in the house. "We don't eat sweets." Kind of embarrassing to hear her say out in public, you know. Well, at least you can't accuse any one of us kids of being overweight.
Eventually the trick-or-treating greeting stopped all together.
I suppose that's a good thing...because Axe once told me that my greetings scare newbies away ^^

BonziBUDDY
10-08-2002, 08:01 PM
Um...yeah...I just sit around and watch those crazy kids walk up and down the hill we live on. We live on a dead-end street, so not as much kids come by.

I've never liked Halloween. I'm not a holiday kinda guy really...anyway. It's not very fun...on my Halloweens....I tend to just watch tv/anime...play video games.....or fall asleep for a couple hours...and then do one of the aforementioned activites. No one even comes to my house `cause I like on hill.....about a mile away from where most small children live...so yeah.

Halloween is one of the best holidays, too bad my mom doesn’t really like it and since she doesn’t like it she really doesn't like that I like it, so last year we didn’t carve out pumpkins or give out candy or any of the good stuff. All we, my family, did last year was go to a movie... well, that year sucked. This year I could try asking my mom if I could go to a friend’s house for Halloween. But I don’t know...

I just need a guy skinny enough to be Jack the Pumpkin King. As for the stitches, should be quite easy with make-up since I hang out with so many drag queens. :P

I could be that Jack guy! Or maybe Jack Pumpkin, that skeleton guy from Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Yeah, the skeleton in the Santa Claus outfit. That'll be a blast!

Aww, well, even if you don't send us a Sally pic, if you find a Jack, you'll have to get him to share his pic... that would be a really tough costume to realize.

*sigh* Jack the Pumpkin King... *gets glazed-over stare* He's so dreeeamy.

Dunno where I should put this...so I'll just toss it here.

Things That Sound Dirty on Halloween But Aren't
10. She's a goblin!
9. I'd like to get a little something in the sack tonight.
8. Just get on your hands and knees and bob your head.
7. She's got a couple of nice pumpkins on her porch.
6. If you just lick it, it'll last longer.
5. Let me see your big sack!
4. Can I eat your Zagnuts?
3. Have your mom check it before you put it in your mouth.
2. You scared me stiff!
1. He's got Candy spread out on the living room floor!

Why Halloween Is Better Than Sex
10. You're guaranteed to get a little something in the sack.
9. The uglier you are, the easier it is to get some.
8. It doesn't matter if the kids hear you moaning and groaning.
7. Less guilt the morning after.
6. It doesn't matter if they fantasize you're somebody else, because you are.
5. Forty years from now, you'll still enjoy candy.
4. If you don't get what you want, you can always go next door.
3. If you get tired, you can wait 10 minutes and go again.
2. You don't have to compliment the person who gives you some.
1. You can do the whole neighborhood!

hmm...concert or trick or treating....i could pull a costume together by then....even an anime character, which i could then get my parents to pay for....such hard decisions. Im thinking about Squall from FF8, since i have the hair for it, and i would just need the blue shirt, a leather coat, and the pants, could make a gunblade pretty easily. hmm...

I tried trick-or-treating last year. We didn't get much candy, just a lot of glares. So I did the next best thing, watching a bunch of ornary teens drink/smoke themselves stupid.

This year won't be quite as, er... eventful. I'm sure i'll have a great time held up in my room studying for finals though. -_-'

Just to ***** and moan a bit...

Sweden has this annoying habit of wanting to "copy" halloween.
And it's disturbing as hell.
We didnt have halloween a couple of years ago...but now you cant walk into a mall without seeing pumpkins and witches and all that **** everywhere.
This used to be what translated word by word becomes "All saints weekend", the weekend where we pay our respects to the dead relatives, friends, and so on.

But what? Having a weekend to pay respects to the dead isnt good enough?
They just HAVE to import every little damned thing from USA?
WHY do we need annoying kids running around shouting "trick or treat"?
I mean, what is the REASON for importing this tradition?

I'll tell you what, just so that the stores can sell their damned pumpkins, their damned costumes...
I'm so damned TIRED of this ****.
Thus, if I see a damned "trick or treater" knocking on my door, I'll show him what a real "trick" is.....

I'm not saying the whole tradition is stupid. Heck, it might be fun. But importing it just for the thing to sell more unnecessary stuff? and importing it to the day that we're supposed to be paying respects to the dead of all days?
I just don't see anything good with this.
(What I was trying to say is this: I'm not against you celebrating halloween, I'm against us importing it)

**EDIT**
This topic is now stickiefied after I've found the third halloween thread in here.
Hopefully that'll keep all "trick or treaters" in one thread ^^

Halloween in our country is a demented, completely deformed version of the REAL halloween created in Scotland centuries ago. Here in the US, it is just another opportunity for wierdos with black lipstick, and leather pants, and chains wrapped around their waists to walk around and freak people out. I hate those jerks. You know that they're just putting up a front so that people think they're scary, and "hard", while on the inside, their just insecure little idiots with no self-esteem. Also, kids have become increasingly more greedy and bratty over the years. Candy, candy, candy. It's all about the candy. Who started htis tradition anyway? In my opinon, Halloween is blasphemous, with an unfounded reason for existing at all. My question is: How did Halloween get from being a day to pay your solemn respect for the ghosts of one's ancestors, to little kids parading around in costumes asking for candy, and goth-jerks walking around acting weird? What has the world come to?

Well, Halloween is practically over. It's 8:36 here in the west (CA). All I did was walk to the mall, (Plaza Bonita) look around there and walk back. It’s about a 23-27 minute walk to the mall. At some points walking to and from the mall was scary, because it's all quiet and dark and then a car comes out of nowhere going full speed (really loud at least). I was walking around with peon, so I wasn't alone. I just got back home and now I have to go walk my dog...So tired...

Halloween was ok I guess. I still got school tomorrow though...*sigh*...

It was one of the best ones ever. I went all out this year. Stole candy from little kids. Nailed people with paintballs. But the best of all was what I did to a convenient store. Me and my boys waited outside and some lady came out with a mop. We were panicing but lit up fireworks and threw it inside the store.

Ah... today's the morning after Holloween. I got zero hours of sleep because I don't have school today and ate my breakfast of leftover candies and some candies stolen from my sister's bag. Yup, the greatest fun comes after Halloween is over, some people having to get out their mops and wipe off their windows. Some having to hose off soap. Whatever the case, the real fun happens after the trick or treating.

Ah well, death to this thread!!

Yeah, I sure had fun. Let's see...I collapsed on the sofa around 6:30 and...well, that was pretty much the highlight of my day. Old men, falling asleep at such early hours...

My English teacher today randomly threw candy out to students ('cause he bought waaay too much). Apparently last year, as he said, a thousand or so kids came to his door, and he didn't have enough to pass out, so this year he bought a lot more, yet only about five kids came.

Oh, I watched some of that Courage marathon before I passed out. Ye-up, such another fun holiday.

my Halloween was spent at Disneyland. Sean and i went and practically had the place to ourselves, it was great. we just went running through the park jumping on all the rides then hung out in the arcade and made fools of ourselves playing DDR. a bunch of little kids were dressed up and were trick-or-treating down Main Street, so that was cute. ah, and of course going on the Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion was a highlight. ^_^ so i had a pretty fun Halloween.

Our Halloween was fuuun. ^^ As planned, I stayed at home and handed out candy. We live on one of the busiest streets in Denver, so we got a lot of trick-or-treaters. And some of the little kids' costumes were sooo kawaii! ^^

Except it was our first night in the new house... So we couldn't figure out how to turn the porch light on... and kids kept passing by our house. My sister seriously started heckling people and running out onto the sidewalk in front of our house to shove candy at the kids "ignoring" us.

And, of course, when we figured out the porch light, everyone who came up to our door kept looking at the empty room beyond and going, "Gosh, your house is really clean, huh?" Stupid people. n_n

And, omigod, it was freeeezing out! 0.o

But, all in all, it was very fun! I was quite sad when it was over...

So, Pistola, when are we getting those Sally pics of yers? ^^

indeed it was ^^ 3 minute waiting period for all the rides, ah heaven. yeah i kind of figured it wouldn't be crowded, all the kids and their families at home trick-or-treating and whatnot, so that's why i suggested we go. the park closed at 8, though, so we just went over to McDonalds and wasted time there ^_^;;

i was tempted to put my hood over my head and walk down Main Street to see if they'd give me any candy. oh well, maybe next year.

Disneyland is fun around the holidays. You just gotta know when to go and how to get to where. ^^

Ah, lesse. My halloween was spent at Huntington Harbor(quite far from where I live) with my good friends from grade school. Even though I left at 5, the traffic was murderous and so I only managed to get there around 8:30. We went trick-or-treating for about an hour and came back because the pickings were slim and everyone was tired anyway.

When we got back, we helped my friend's dad take down their annual haunted house in their driveway(very cool, by the way). Whaa, I didn't get to work in it this year. =P

Costume-wise, I wore my Anime Expo'02 outfit(red neko girl) with the exception of pants rather than shorts. It was coooold down by the harbor, nyo! x.x; And me without my jacket (I got sick the next day. =P). =_= Har, but I did get a whistle and honk(in a truck, pervs) from passer-bys. I also had a cross-dressing Marilyn Monroe following me. GAH. x.x; They all must've been drunk or somehing. o.O; *cough* @.@

Wai wai wai! Halloween was alright, not the best though. We "tricked" kids all night! That was pretty fun. We dropped fake gooey spiders on them when they came up to the door; made them pick their "candy" out of a jar filled with "oobleck' (substance made of cornstarch, water, and a nasty brown boogered colored food coloring), stole some candy from the kids with ugly costumes and shot pellets (spitballs?) at them when they left. It was all good fun even if I have to say it was a bit chilly. =D

well, mine was just there. Got home, got some food, watched some TV, didnt really get trick or trweaters, considering the sniper thing was still pretty recent, and went to bed.

well, we had a costume party/birthday party mixed into one. Involved football, DDR, and music. It was alright. But at least it got me a chance to bring out my character "Gatts" from my fic "Godly Successors". That was fun. I even got the pictures to prove it. lol
