Whos heard of these guys?
I recently was experimenting with genres of music, and at Best Buy, my dad pointed out that Chicago was one of his favorite bands growing up. So i bought it and tried it out. I, personally, think theyre rather good. Theyre rock with a horn section.

They had songs like:
-Make me Smile
-Colour my World
-Just You N Me

Thoughts?

Idk much about chicago but i do know they were a popualar band that my dad liked also, back in the 70's or 80's! my thoughts on this are inbetween damn you have a horrible taste for music and just be yourself! but im a nice guy so id say just be yourself!

If you like there music i say go for it and listen :D

I dig some of Chicago, mostly the older stuff. They got to be kind of lame in the 80s, but their stuff from the 60s and 70s was good.

James Pankow is the trombonist, and did most of the horn section arrangement, and some of the songwriting. He's a monster player, though. I'm pretty sure he plays a King 3B, for those interested in completely useless trivia. There are some great little brass licks here and there, some nice little solos. Fun stuff.

They sucked hard in the '80s.

Also, the original guitarist from Chicago (the one who accidentally killed himself) was Jimi Hendrix's idol.

Try 25 or 6 to Four when you get a chance. :) Make Me Smile is my favorite of theirs. They should have put a muzzle on Peter Cetera before he got rabid. Ugh.
