Land of Rain

[Fish Feet]

Okay, wow. I've never done this before, so give me some slack.. Here goes.

The setting:
Reonvan. After a mysterious explosion that resulted in the death of thousands, rain continues to fall endlessly. Reonvan is now a country where its always raining to some degree. Usually just misting. A whole bunch of old ruins of cities and ruins of unknown origin. A lot of deciduous forests and plains. We begin in the tavern of an inn during a particularly bad thunderstorm. It is late evening.

Um.. Here's my character.

Name: Nichodemous Systratus (Nick for short, I guess...)
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Weapon: Rapier
Hair: Silver
Eyes: Yellow
Size: Lightweight
Family: Doesn't remember. His only companion is his pet falcon, Stiker.

Description:
Wears a white jacket that is open in the front and goes down to behind the knees in the back. Smug fitting white pants, shiney black shoes, and a black shirt. His hair goes down to his shoulders. He is pale and wears a cold expression on his face.
Trained in the art of fencing from a young age. He is not a very big or bulky man. He is, however, very swift and light on his feet. He is cold, calculating and sarcastic.

Abilities:
Nichodemous posses minor psychic abilites and is a master of fencing. He can use his psychic abilities to increase his jumping distance and temporarily paralyze weak-minded opponents by making eye-contact with them. He can also use telekinesis, and is trained in ice magic.

Now:
Nichodemous walks into the inn and sits at a table in a dark corner of the room. His odd yellow eyes survey the other people in the room...

I'll give this a try I suppose. Do not expect constant involvement EVER. Here I go.

Name: Finfox Aelia
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Weapon: Magic staff
Hair: Dirty blonde/brown
Eyes: Red
Size: Very small in stature
Family: A talking cat which she refers to as "Auntie Nell" who apparently knows many types of magic and teaches it to her niece.

Description:
Wears blue, slightly faded robes which many practioners of magic use. She wears an old, frayed yellow witches hat on her head, said to have belonged to her great grandmother. She wears brown leather boots on her feet. Her brownish blonde hair is shoulder length. Her skin is extremely pale due to spending much of her time studying indoors and wears most of the time a tired, almost angry looking expression. She mainly uses magic which more than makes up for her lack in physical strength and likes to think out things strategically before going through with anything. The real problem with her is that she's kind of lazy,

Abilities: She is extremely talented in the ways of all types of magic. From simple healing spells to complex lightning spells she's got it all covered. Due to her lightweight she is also extremely fast and is an excellent problem solver in a jam. She will not easily fall prey to traps as she is always the first one to notice something strange.

Now: Finfox was sitting across from some weirdo sitting in the darkest corner of the room. This guy REALLY creeped her out, his almost expressionless eyes scanning over the crowd constantly. "Geez...what a strange guy..." she whispered to Auntie Nell. "Yeah...I know, just keep an eye out for him." Auntie Nell replied lazily.

[Someone Else]

I might as well.

Name: Damix Vercingetorix
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Weapon: Long sword
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Blue/Gray
Size: Above averagely tall but not giant.
Family: Were all murdered.

Description:
This shadow of a man wears primarily dark colors, green or gray. A forceful and skilful swordsmen and ex-soldier; He doesn’t fight as openly as he used to, but only looking for the right moment to strike. He wears no hat but lets his hair fall out hood of his cloak. His skin is pale, as was his fathers, and the like of his whole tribe. While he excels in physical skill, he’s not very good with magic and the supernatural. Most everything else, he is spontaneously.

Abilities:
A swordsman, he was fighting since he was a kid and knows his weapons – spears, swords, bows, and axes – from all sides. For his size, he’s surprisingly fast, and excellent at evasive tactics, but only to what can be imagined.

Now:
Damix has been trapped in this Inn for the day now, drinking away his sorrows as he slowly drowns into a stupor. He sits towards the end of the bar-table, as he stares at his flask, as if waiting for to see something.

Nichodemous' ears perk as he hears the tavern door open. A small man walks through. The man is short, not much taller than a child. He wears a tan travelers cloak that conceals his body and a hood conceals his face. He carries a staff twice his height. Nichodemous' hand reaches for the hilt of the rapier strapped to his left. His eyes quickly scan the room. Two groups of people are just leaving. A couple is heading upstairs to the rooms. The bartender is nowhere to be seen. Good. Only person left in the tavern other than his prey is a large drunken man.

"He wont be aware of anything" Nichodemous thinks to himself. With amazing speed, Nichodemous leaps from his chair and dashes quickly to the bar where the small man was now sitting. He draws his his rapier and gives the man a telekinetic shove. The man falls to the ground with a squeal, dropping his staff and Nichodemous stabs him through the heart.

After wiping his bloodied sword on the dead man's robes, he sheaths it and turns to leave. It is then that he notices a small girl and a cat sitting at a table on the far side of the room. The girl is wearing a shocked expression.

"Why didn't I notice her before?" Nichodemous asks himself. He slowly draws his rapier again and advances toward the girl.

"I better be careful... There's something up with that cat..." He thinks as he uses his psychic powers to give himself a burst of speed. He races at the girl and raises his sword horizontally, ready to strike...

[Aelia]

Just as the strange man was about to strike, Finfox quickly picked up her staff and cast shield magic to render his attack useless and knock him back into an empty table nearby. "You should really think things through before you attack people" Finfox said softly. Auntie Nell turned her head towards the dirty tavern window in the corner of the room and said "Listen, my niece and I are not your enemies, and believe me when I say even if we told the police they wouldn't believe us because they lack trust in users of magic and for good reason too."

Nichodemous glares at the odd girl and her abnormal talking cat. He begins to distort the air around him using a form of his ice magic. When the air is clear again, he is gone. As he is walking down the hill, away from the inn, he looks back. He swears he can see the big drunk's eyes following him as he walks away. For some reason, Nichodemous gets the shivers.

"There is something about that man.." He thinks to himself. He shrugs it off and continues down the road..

[Aelia]

"Well... I better go before the bartender gets her and realizes one of his tables is broken. Besides it's freezing in here." Finfox said to herself. She walked out of the inn and onto the road. "Hopefully we won't meet that guy again." Auntie Nell said out loud. "Yes...he was a strange guy." Finfox said in reply. Auntie Nell flared up at this response and shouted "THAT GUY WAS READY TO KILL BOTH OF US AND ALL CAN CAN SAY IS "Yes...he was a strange guy."!?" Unfortunately she said this a bit too soon, as they suddenly met the strange man once again on the road.
Finfox gulped and tried walking around this stranger.

Before he even saw her, Nichodemous could sense the girls presense. As she came along side of him his hand instinctively reached for his rapier hilt. He looked sideways at the girl who was now at his right.

"Just why are you following me, little girl?" Nichodemous growled at the shorter person. She made no move to respond. He tossed his silver hair out of his face and walked in the girls path. He drew his sword and pointed it at her.

"Answer me when I speak to you." He said coldly. "I want some answers."...

[Aelia]

"I'm not following you, this is the road leads to my house." she replied calmly. "You can solve all your problems with violence you know." she said, indicating the sword on his hand. Finally she said "I suppose since this is our second chance meeting we may as well give eachother our names. My name is Finfox Aelia and this is my Auntie Nell." Auntie Nell panicked and said "YOU'RE GIVING HIM OUR NAMES NOW!? HE JUST TRIED TO KILL US A WHILE BACK AND YOU'RE BEING FRIENDLY!?

Nichodemous narrowed his eyes and glared at the strange cat. Without sheathing his weapon he replied,

"Nichodemous. And you best forget everything you saw back there, little girl." He waited for a few seconds, keeping an eye on the cat. Finally he sheathed his sword and turned to walk away...

Description:
Blue skin (was possesed by a lazy but powerful demon) white shirt black over coat black pants and black boots He has special pockets holding wht ever you can imagine from: hamburgers to swords

Abilities:
Because of the demon in him he can with stand extreme temeratures has a high metapalism (which means more partay!) and ohter than that its super powers!

Weapon: what looks to be a walking stick
Hair: red
Eyes: blood red
Size: lightweight
Family: Has none that she knows of. Adopted siblings are Vincent and Lace.

Is quiet and shy. Is usually wearing her uniform or a red jacket with a white tank-top under and jeans on. Always wears shoes.

Abilities: Has minor magic abilites. Can transform into any animal.

Now: Rose is running through the woods toward the inn when she smells the group of two humans and a talking cat. Currently, she was a cat herself. Or more of a cross between a cat and wolf. She saw the male turn to leave as she jumped out in front of him and inverted to her normal self. She was wearing the second outfit described. She introduced herself to all three, "I am Rose Maundrell. And you are...?" she asked. She waited to see the three's responses.

Description: Has a bandana, a west and some ripped trousers and gloves.. has small angel wings on his back and got a little furry tail. Has a ring that he uses when he summens, got it from his sister.

Abilities: Can a little summoning. He can summen tigers and stuff.

he spots four people standing by the Inn. Higo thinks "Easy catch" draws his Katana and jumps down..

Appearance: Wears white light armor
Abilities: Can use Flash Step (Moves him anywhere in an instant.) and can summon lightning anywhere.

"Where could Rose be. Sometimes that girl." Then he notices a man in a tree getting ready to jump on some people. Then he used his flash step to get in front of the guy. "what do you think you are doing." Vincent said with a smirk.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Looks behind her and sees her brother. "Vin!!"

[Kero]

"Oh, High Rose!" He said happily to his sister. "If you would of attacked my sister you would have been in a lot of pain." He said angrily at the man.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Giggles lightly. "Don't worry about me so much, Vin." She puts her hands on her hips.

"eh... nothing" Sheaths the katana " eh..... aww... ah... si... How are you ?" *gives a BIG (fake) smile*

[Kero]

"Hmmm.... Well if you don't have any intentions of hurting my sister than you are all right. But you do look like you haven't eaten in a while." Noticing the mans stomache growl. "Let me treat you to a meal, you come to Rose." Then he went back to the ground and pulled out a big box lunch from his pack. "By the way my name is Vincent, whats yours?" He asks with a grin.

"H-ig-O isf mi name" He says while eating " So what are you doing in this place?" *start going through the box for more food*

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Sits down also. "I am just traveling."

[Kero]

"My have we got an appotite, but no worries there is plenty." He said with a smile. "I was just out looking for my little sis because we were supposed to meet up around here." Then he gave her a smile.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Oh yea, huh." Rose rubs the back of her head.

[Kero]

"You forgot again, didn't you." He said while lowering his head. "Oh well as long as you are here now. So Higo what are you doing around these parts."

Stops eating "ehhh... im just.. ehh.. training" " I wannabe a great summoner" Shows the ring with a big smile

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Hehehe..."Looks at the ring.

Appearence: Black trench coat, grey pants and shirt

Abilities: Moderate telekinetic and pyrokenetic powers; uses telekinesis to increase power of strikes; can also use it to move small objects.

Now: walking on the path, notices the group in front of him. more specifically, the talking cat. "Interesting..."

Wolf ears pop up and listen to behind her. "Vin, someone is behind us, approching." She says

"Yeah I noticed him right after you. I wonder if he is okay or not." He says to Rose cautiously. "Hello there stranger who might you be!" He said with his natural friendly voice.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"We may have yet to find out." She says quietly and also turns to the guy and says, "Hello stranger!" in an also natural-sounding friendly voice,

[Cthulhu]

"Hello." he replied. He looked at the cat, which was staring at him intently. "hmm.."

[Kero]

"Is there something wrong with my sister?" He said to the man then noticed she was in her cat/wolf thingy form. "Oh! Rose maybe you should change into your normal self.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Good idea!!" changes back to hernormal self.

Gender: Male
Weapon: Throwing daggers and claws.
Hair: Black
Eyes: Red
Size: lightweight
Family: one older brother

Description:
Around six foot, he wears black pants and a red shirt. He is very friendly but keeps to himself unless prompted to do otherwise. Though Matt used to live in a town with his family, everyone but his olderbrother (and himself) were killed. His brother being a strong fighter was able to repell the attacks and left, vowing to revenge his family. Missing his brother, Matt searches for him.

Abilities:
Able to move quickly, and quietly when he loses controle, though usually is a cluts. Able to use the wind to attack.

"What the.." he watched as the cat turned into a human.....well mostly human. He jumped, reching 20ft. before landing on a tree branch. "What are you?" he queried.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

" A human, naturally. I just have the abilty to shape shift into animals. Right Vin??" she says.

[Kero]

"Always the same reaction." He says to his sister. "Don't worry, she is a shapeshifter." He tells the man.

[Cthulhu]

"I'll take your word for it." He jumped out of the tree and walked up to them. "By the way, my name's Agrus. Agrus Kos."

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Nice to meet you Agros" she says.

Ignoring the people outside Matt went to the door of the bar. Walking through the door, Matt entered the bar quietly. However as soon as he took another step further into the bar he tripped and fell flat on his face.
"OWWWWW." getting up slowly Matt looked at the ground and rubbed his face.
Once again he looked around this time seeing how empty the bar was.
Matt sat down at an empty table and sighed. Taking out a few of his knives he began to polish them.
I'll buy a drink, then look around for some info.

[Cthulhu]

"It's Agrus. Nice to meet you." he replied. "Do you know where the nearest inn is? I need to get out of this rain."

[Kero]

"Yeah its not to far from here." He tells Angus. "And my name is Vincent." while he points in the direction of the INN.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Over that way, where the stranger went." she says. (sorry 'bout the name mixup)

[Cthulhu]

"Thanks, Vincent, Rose, but I must go now." he turned to walk off torwards the inn.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Shall we go to the inn , too, Vin?" Rose asks Vincent.

[Kero]

"Yeah it is getting wet. You comming Higo?" He asks while putting the food away.

[Cthulhu]

"Higo? Who's that?" Agrus questioned.

[Kero]

Vincent looks back and notices Higo behind a tree. "Well I don't really know him that well yet but he was just having lunch with us. I guess he is just another wanderer." He tells Angus.


(OCC: He is another member that was in this RP that we just met.)

[Cthulhu]

"I see. Well, we should moving before the rain gets worse." was his reply.

[Kero]

"Okay then, lets go everyone." He tells them with a joyful smile.

[Cthulhu]

Agrus begins to walk to the inn. He looks at the sky. "Hmm.."

[Kero]

"Whats wrong? Do you not like the rain?" He asks Angus quriously.

[Cthulhu]

"Not really. When it rains, I can't control my powers very well." he responded.

[Kero]

"Well when it rains my "gift" also comes out you could say." He tells the Angus. "That is why I love it here. My powers thrive here where it almost always rains." Then he hurried to the INN seeing the look in Angus's face.

[Cthulhu]

"Damn.." he muttered, and followed him into the inn.

"Hmmm... wonder what Argus is thinking" He thought to himself.


(LOL, ooops my bad but it is hillarious how I made such a stupid mistake. Sorry Argus.)

Agrus walked over to the fireplace of the inn, and sat down next to it, staring at the fire. After about ten minutes, he walked over to the bar and ordered a drink.

As a few others entered Matt paused looking at them.
Would they know anything about my brother? It's unlikely... and it looks like such trivial matters would only bother them.
Matt looked down at his gleeming knives.
Looks like they are clean enough, now for...
Matt looked down at his sword and was struck with fear. The bar seemed to dance around him as he fell onto the ground. He coughed and blood was thrown on his hand.
After a few seconds on the ground he grabbed onto the table and got back into the chair.
So the sword is still cursed, this won't make things easier.

Agrus walked over to the two men. "Are you alright?" He looks at the sword. Hmm.. this is no ordinary blade, he mused. I must look into this....

These two , the one in black and one in white... I guess I ended up meeting them after all.
Matt smiled at both of them
"It's ok, i've been worse." Matt slowly added "My name... is Matt." Suddenly he felt comfortable again.
Matt looked over to the one with the black coat. "This sword... is cursed. I'm not sure the specifics since it's been in my family for generations, but I'm not able to draw it... unless..." Matt's eyes glazed over as he looked past both of them. After he had been silent for a few seconds he remembered where he was. "What's your names?"

[Kero]

"My name is Vincent. Do you want me to get you a drink or something." He asked felling very worried.

"That would be great i'll take whatever you can pay for" Matt said, "nice to meet you Vincent."
Matt whiped the blood onto a handkercheif that was in his back pocket.
"You two don't have to worry about the sword effecting you, it only reacts to members of the family for some reason." Matt almost jumped out of his chair.
"Oh no," a frown came over his face as he took out one of his knives that had been in his back pocket. It's metal gleamed with blood.
"Oh well, it's only one."

[Kero]

"Waitress can I get a tall glass of milk over here. That should take the taste of blood out of your mouth." He said with a smile.

Higo comes in and goes to Vincent "HI!!" Scratches his head "I saw something shine in the grass!" Picks up a stone and shows it to the group. it was a yellow stone, small as a coin. "I though it was something eatable but it wasent" Looks disepointed.

"My name is Agrus." he said to Matt.

[Kero]

"Hey Higo, nice stone. This is Argus and Matt." He told Higo.


(OOC: were in an INN right now Higo.)

"I'm going to get a room." he said, then walked off to the front desk.

"Good idea Argus, nice to meet you Higo" Matt picked up the glass of milk and took a gulp. "Thanks very much Vincent, this milk is great!" Matt started to clean his now bloody dagger. "So what brings you to this area?"

Walks in the inn after Higo. "Hey Higo! thats my stone! I thought i lost it...." she tells Higo as she watches the man cleaning his blade. "Ok Vin. Let me just get my stone back." she said after a while.

Agrus walked up to them. "i've got it taken care of it." He hands him a pair of keys. "These are to rooms 17 and 18; on the second floor."

"Yeah Higo that stone is really precious to her maybe you should give it back." He tells him in a serious tone.

"No problem, Vincent." He walks upstairs without another word.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Waits for Higo to give it back after finally grabbing from his hands. "Thank you for finding it for me." She walks to Vincent and cleans it off.

"Well then, lets get settled in our rooms." He says grinning at everyone.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Good idea!"she says, stifling a yawn.

[Kero]

"Alright then, lets head for 18 okay Rose." He heads towards the room.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Follows her brother while still cleaning the precious stone.

[Cthulhu]

Hmm... Perhaps the time has come to stop this accursed rain...Agrus thought to himself as he laid down to sleep...

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Rose thinks to herself, ' so it is Argus' doing..' She smiles at her stone and mouths 'Thank You' to it.

[Cthulhu]

(OOC:he has knowledge on how to stop it; but certain events must take place)

[Kero]

"Rose don't you just love the rain." He tells her while laying on his back. "I wish it would never stop. But then again a sunny day is nice as well." Then he yawns.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Yea, I do." she says sitting on the floor out of habit.

"Yeah I guess we should talk more about this in the moooorninnnng." Then he fell asleep.

Silently laughs as she climbs into bed and also falls asleep, her being in animal form taken all her stamina.

Hours later:
Agrus woke up in a cold sweat, panting. He looked out the window. Still dark. Hmm... He waved his hand at the lamp, and the wick burst into flame. It was that same dream, he thought. Why is it always that one?

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Regaining her strength as fast, Rose got up at the same time as Argus and listened to his thoughts.

[Cthulhu]

Hmmm...I should leave before the others wake; it would be best not to involve them.... He raised his hand and his trenchcoat floated over, grabbing it when it was in reach. It's time.... he thought as he walked out the door to the room.

[Kero]

"ZIP!" Vincent walks out and see's Argus. "Hey what are you doing up so early." He says with a smile.

[Cthulhu]

"Leaving. There's something I have to do.." he replied to Vincent.

[Kero]

"Well try not to stay gone too long." He tells him worried about the bill.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Rose, on Vincents shoulder, says, "Might i join?"

[Cthulhu]

"If you wish. I do not recommend it however. It may be dangerous." He said to Rose and Vincent.

[Kero]

"Well I have been in some pretty tight spots myself so it shouldn't be to big of a problem." He says with a grin.

[Cthulhu]

"I see. Very well, you may accompany me. I will go downstairs to pay the bill for the rooms." He then walked downstairs.

[Kero]

*Sigh* "Thank you for taking care of the bill." He says while thinking to himself what would of happened if he had to pay for all of them.

[Cthulhu]

Agrus walked downstairs to the front desk and paid for the rooms. He sat next to the fire, becoming lost in thought. 'I wonder how long it will be before they are ready?' he mused, playing with the fire in his hands.

Higo walks in too the Inn.. sits down beside Argus " Having fun with the fire?" Smiles "Have you seen Rose? I need to talk to her!" Tilts his head down...

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Walks down the stairs in her cat/wolf form still. "Yes Higo??" she says.

[Cthulhu]

Agrus contined to manipulate the flame in his hands, not looking away. "Are you and Vincent ready yet?" he asked.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"I am, at least. I dunno about Vincent though." She tells him, jumping onto the table.

[Cthulhu]

"I see..." He stood up and walked to the nearest chair, where he sat down. "At least the rain softened a bit."

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"True, true. But at least it is still going!(I think) Because i havent felt rain in a while, having been in The Land of Rain for not too long." She tells him.

[Cthulhu]

"I see... You're lucky then." Agrus said to Rose. "I hate the rain..."

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Why?" she asks inquisitively. Swishes her tail, also.

[Cthulhu]

"It's a long story...I'll tell you later, when get going." He replied, looking off.

[Kero]

"Okay guys I am ready to go." He said in his usual happy go lucky voice.

[Cthulhu]

"Good. We are all ready then... We should leave, then." he said to Vincent." Agrus stood up and walked out the door, into the rain.

[Kero]

"Alright lets go Rose" Then he heads towards the door.

[Cthulhu]

Agrus waited underneath a tree, thinking about the situation. 'I shouldn't have agreed to let them come with me...' he thought to himself.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Follows them out and asks Agrus "Why?"

[Cthulhu]

Agrus snapped out of his trance-like state. "Why what?" he inquired.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Agrus waited underneath a tree, thinking about the situation. 'I shouldn't have agreed to let them come with me...' he thought to himself.

"Why for the 'I shouldn't have agreed to let them come with me...' thought." she said.

[Cthulhu]

"You can read my thoughts?" he responded. 'Great...this is just great. She can read my thoughts. Wonderful'

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"I should add that my gem," points to the yellow stone now on a necklace," gives me that power."

[Cthulhu]

'Hmmm' He walks over to her and raises his hand. The jewel follows his movemens and hovers in the air while he takes a look at it. 'Interesting, very interesting.' Agrus lowered his hand and asked "Where did you find it?"

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"I-I dont remember..."She says, looking down. "I think i had it when i was born, but i dont really remember."

[Cthulhu]

"I see. You should keep a close eye on that, they're very hard to find. I haven't seen one in a while..." he replied. "We should get going before the rain starts up again."

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Sure! Vin-san, hurry up!!" she yells to Vincent.

[Cthulhu]

Agrus begins to walk, using the trees as cover to avoid getting wet. 'I hate the rain' he thought to himself as he continued to walk.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Changes into a bird, raven maybe, and lands on his shoulder.

[Cthulhu]

'Hello there' he thought with a touch of amusement, knowing that she could hear him.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Nods her head and ruffles her feathers.

[Cthulhu]

'Thats quite an intersting ability you have there; being able to shift your form to suit the situation' He thought, in such a way to be talking to her. 'I've never seen that abilit before'

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Ruffles her feathers again. "Yea. I got teased as a kid. As long as i remember, i was an orphan. Always being the tease-victim. Until Vin-san came to the town. He protected me." she says.

[MorphtheFallen]

Matt watched the group go out the door and sighed. He had been sitting at a table near the back for the entire night, and the bartender threw Matt dirty looks for not paying for a room.
"There they go..." Matt whispered to himself "... perhaps one day i'll beable to do that." Matt shook his head and yawned.
Matt stood up, triped, recoverd, then continued to run to the door and out of the bar.
I forgot to ask them about my brother, or at least try to travel with them.
He kept on running untill he had caught up with everyone else, out of breath all he could manage to say was "...I'll... come...please..."

[Cthulhu]

'I see. You were luckey then. All my powers did was scare off everyone...'

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Dont worry, Matt. I thought you were gonna come. Or atleast i read your thoughts." She says, ruffling her feathers a third time.

[MorphtheFallen]

"Thoughts? You can... read... really?" Matt started to frown, to remember, then suddenly he thought "No, I can't, I can't think of it..." Matt smiled at Rose "I'm glad to meet you, I didn't catch you name."

[Cthulhu]

"Hello, Matt. Nice of you to join us." He said to him.

[MorphtheFallen]

"Thanks for having me," Matt seemed overjoyed then unexpectedly yawned again. "Don't mind the yawning, it will stop in a few hours."

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Its Rose. Rose Maundrell."She said, flying over his shoulder and landing on it, healing him of his tiredness, only bringing it upon herself. "Don't mind if I sleep her for a while, do you?" she asks Matt.

[Cthulhu]

'Strange person, this Rose' he thought after she fell asleep. "Matt, what brings you with us?" he asked as he continued walking.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Rose can still hear what is being said. Vincent, on the other hand is walking in back of the three.

[Cthulhu]

About 4 hours later:
Agrus asked the trio "Do you guys want to take a rest for some food?"

[Kero]

"Yeah I'm kinda hungry." He said with a smile.

[Cthulhu]

"Good. Let's take a break over here. It seems to be dry." he said to the group.

[Kero]

"Yeah thats a good place. Lets take a load off." He said smiling.

[Cthulhu]

"Why do you smile so much? " Agrus asked as he leaned up against a tree. "Quite frankly, it's disturbing."

[Kero]

"Dunno. I guess I am just a happy guy." He said with a confused look on his face.

[Cthulhu]

"I see. Here." Agrus tossed a bag to Vincent that contained a kind of jerky. He then pulled out a smaller bag out his coat that held the same substance; he pulled out a piece and began to eat it.

[Kero]

"Thanks!" He said with a smaller grin. Then he took out some of the jerkey and started to eat it.

[Cthulhu]

"Not a problem. Make sure the others get some of it as well. I'm going to find some fresh water." he began to walk off into the forest, looking for a stream.

[Kero]

"Alright then." Vincent gave some to Rose and Matt.

[Cthulhu]

After about 5 minutes, Agrus came upon a stream. 'I guess this is it' he thought to himself as he pulled out two leather pouches and filled them with water. 'This should be enough' he thought as he began to walk back to the makeshift camp.

[Kero]

Vincent went out behind a tree to use the restroom. "Wow it is quiet out here. I like it like this sometimes." He murmerd to himself while zipping up his pants. "Oh hey Agrus." he said when Agrus was comming back to the camp.

[Cthulhu]

"Hello, Vincent." Agrus walked over to a fallen tree and sat down upon it. 'Hmm....with Rose and Matt sleeping, we could be he for a while...' He held out his hand torwards a pile of small logs and sticks he had gathered. The pile began to smoke, and then burst into flame. "That's better" he mummered to himself.

[Kero]

"Cool your a pyro." Vincent said with excitement. "I can control ligthning. It is nice to meet someone else who has power over an element."

[Cthulhu]

Agrus stared into the fire. "This 'power', as you call it, has caused me nothing but trouble. Most of the time i just use it like an oversized match..."

[Kero]

"I have a problem with mine as well. Sometimes it will just go off and hurt someone or destroy something." Then he shot a pile of brush with his lightning and started another fire.

[Cthulhu]

He sighed. "You should get that under control...If you don't, you may hurt those you care about..." he trailed off, staring into the fire again.

[Kero]

"Well I do have it under control most of the time. It is when I get upset or angery that it goes off." He said with a smirk. "I guess I need to keep my anger under control but sometimes it is just too hard. That is why I am so happy though, it keeps my calm and that is how my personality is anyways." Then he stared into the fire as well.

[Cthulhu]

Agrus asked Vincent "How did you aquire your power?"

[Kero]

"Well I was born with this power. I have heard that my parents were both from a village that speacialized in lightning, but sadly they had both passed when I was 2 years of age. I really don't know much more then that about my past though." He told Agrus "ya know besides my sis you were the first person I told this to. I guess I just seem to trust you for some reason." Then he put his head down.

[Cthulhu]

"I see...so you were born with that power...." he replied. "Sadly, my family was killed in the explsion 28 years ago...and that's when I recieved this 'gift'...."

[Kero]

"Oh! So they died when you were little didn't they. Well I don't know which is worse, not knowing who your parents were or knowing them then suffering through there deaths." He sighs. "Well it doesn't sound like either of us had it easy as kids. How did that explosion happen anyways." He asked Agrus.

[Cthulhu]

"I was nine at the time of the explosion....I don't remember much, but I do remember that the explsion was not natural...afterward, people with different unusal abilities became more common...I believe I was the first, and not knowing how to control it, you can imagine what happened...." he looked at his hands, and clenched them.

[Kero]

"Oh I think I have heard about that. It created a large amount of people with strange powers." He tells Agrus what he has heard. "Before only people from special places could use these kind of powers but ever since then more people have become able to use them. But I also heard that those who survived the explosion or the "First Generation" have the strongest abilities out of them all." He told Agrus facinated with what he had heard him say.

[Cthulhu]

"There were only a handful of survivors of the blast, none knowing how to control thier abilities....most were killed by villigers of towns who thought they were monsters....." his hands clenched tighter, and a few of the trees began to sway.

[Kero]

"Well it seems like you might want to cheer up a bit. When you are angry like this there is a strange aura around you." He tells him with a worried look.

Higo jumps down from the tree... and sits down.

"Hi all,Hi Rose.... ehh.. I followed you guys because I wanted to say im sorry Rose, for what happend before, I went in some sort of a trance. it was that Yel...lo.." Starts staring on the Yellow stone like he was in some sort of trance.

[Cthulhu]

Agrus was breathing heavily as he tried to calm down. "Sorry about that...I don't know what came over me..I don't usually lose control like that..."

[Kero]

"No worries, past memories can do that to ya. My clan wasn't exactly liked by the normal villagers either so I've had to go through some rough times myself." He said trying to cheer up Agrus.

[Cthulhu]

"I suppose that's true...are the others up yet?" he asked

[Kero]

"I don't know, lets go and check." He says while walking back to the camp.

[Cthulhu]

"Good idea." he said while getting up. He followed Vincent, staying about 10 feet behind him.

[Kero]

"Hey Rose! Wake up its morning." He yelled laughing a little at what she would do.

[Cthulhu]

'Rose; are you awake?' he thought, projecting it outward.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Startles awake by both Vincent, Agrus, and Higo. "Snap outta it higo!!" she slaps him and sees vincent laughing and glares at him.

[Cthulhu]

'Well that was funny' he thought. "We should get a move on..." he said to the group.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Glares at Agrus. "no it was not!!" changes into a wolf and walks beside him. "Good Idea."

[Cthulhu]

Agrus was slightly starled by her transformation. 'I dont think think I'll ever get used to that......and I meant Higo, you know....'

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Quirks her eyebrow up. "You confused me!" she says.

[Cthulhu]

'But you slapping Higo was funny'he thought. "Higo, Vincent, let's go." he said to the others.

[Kero]

"Yeah lets get going." He says to Agrus still laughing from Rose's reaction.

[MorphtheFallen]

Matt felt refreshed after sleeping. "I'm ready," Matt said grinning. He jumped up and picked up his sword and leather parsel. "So, where are we going anyways? I was too tired to ask before." Matt let out a small laugh.
It's much better to travel with company than alone. I don't need to seek out my brother, i'm sure he'll come. Matt glanced at the sword with a frown then looked back up with yet another grin on his face.

[Kero]

"Well we are going where ever Agrus is taking us." He told Matt with a smile. "I honestly have no idea."

[Cthulhu]

"You willknow soon enough...right now it isn't important." he said to Matt and Vincent. 'Soon...I'll know what happened all of those years ago'

[Kero]

"Well it should be fun to go and explore a new area." Then he started walking.

[Cthulhu]

While walking, agrus spaced out, thinking 'I wonder what caused the explosion...'

[Kero]

He still was walking forward but looking at Agrus at the same time. "That must have been a really terrible experience huh?" He asked while Rose jumped on his shoulders in cat/wolf form.

[Cthulhu]

He snapped out of his thoughts "huh? oh, yeah.." he looked forword. "I can't remember it though..."

[Kero]

"Not tryin to sound like a jerk or anything but maybe that is a good thing. Well at least untill you are ready to remember." He said looking at his feet.

[Cthulhu]

He looked at the sky "All I remember of it was a briight flash.....then what happened later on..."

[Kero]

"Well we will get to that when the time comes." Then he started to pat Rose's head.

[Cthulhu]

"Vincent, Rose, why did you decicde to come with me?" he asked the pair

[Kero]

"I really don't know, I guess we just don't like staying in a single place for too long. We have been traveling all our lives." He said cheerfully to Agrus.

[Cthulhu]

"I see. I have been doing the same myself for a while." he replied to Vincent.

[Kero]

"So I guess it is only natural that travlers would travel together." He said back.

[Cthulhu]

"I suppose that could be true; but this is the first time I have travelled with others." he responded back to Vincent.

[Kero]

"Well actually when people see Rose transform or learn that I am from the tribe I told you about earlier they want to stay as far away as possible from us." He told Agrus with a little bit of a laugh. "If it wasn't for me running into Rose way back then, I would probably be on my own like you are and not as happy as I am." Then he smiled again.

[Cthulhu]

"Then you were lucky then. I have seen a large amount of those with differing powers in some places that were near the blast, but were shielded by the mountains have about 95 percent of people that have powers." he made a small smile

[Kero]

"Yeah, so does this mean you will be around for a while then." He asked with an eager face.

[Cthulhu]

"Most likely, if you two are heading where I am..." he said to Vincent

[Kero]

"It has been a long time since me and Rose had a companion." Then he looked at Agrus. "There is finally someone else to talk to. Not that it wasn't fun talking to you Rose." Then he just went forward.

[Cthulhu]

"I suppose.." he said, continuing to walk. He looked at the sky. 'Why grey?' he thought. 'It's always grey...' He looked forward, scanning the horizon, stopping at the distant view of what appeared to be a mountain that was blasted open by a huge force.

[Kero]

"Wow! What happened to that mountain." Vincent shouted out loud.

[Cthulhu]

"It's the epicenter..." Agrus said softly.

[Kero]

"The epicenter?" He asked Agrus.

[Cthulhu]

"Yes...it is where the explosion took place. At that time, I lived at the base of the mountain." he told Vincent.

[Kero]

"Oh so this is where it all started out for you then." He said to agrus with a seriousness in his eyes.

[Cthulhu]

"Yes..." he said, despair tainting his voice.

[Kero]

"Is it hard for you to be near this place" He asked Agrus with concern.

[Cthulhu]

"I haven't been there in over 20 years....I swore never to return here...but there is something I must do." he said, his voice returning to normal.

[Kero]

"Do you think we will run into someone you know?" He asked Agrus.

[Cthulhu]

"No. There were no other survivors where I was...and I didn't find a town until a week later." he said to Vincent.

[Kero]

"Well then I guess we have to find a place to stay." He said while his head droped to the ground.

[Cthulhu]

"There still should be the place where I lived; it survived, it just has some holes in the walls and roof that can be covered. And no life approaches the area out of fear." he replied to Vincent

[Kero]

His face perked up. "Yes! Now I wont have to spend money in a towns Inn."

[Cthulhu]

"How often do you guys sta at an inn? Most often, I just find a dry patch in a tree." he said, slightly amused

[Kero]

"Well Rose here does need some accomidations. Even though she is a cat wolf thingy right now she is still a girl." Then Rose smacked him in the back of the head knowing what he would say next.

[Cthulhu]

Agrus shook his head, laughing to himself. 'Those two really are like a brother and sister' "How long ago did you guys meet?"

[Kero]

"Well I am 17 now and I met her when I was 5 so 12 years ago. That is why we act just like normal siblings." Then he started to laugh.

[Cthulhu]

Agrus uttered a short laugh and smiled. "No wonder....12 years, huh?" his smied dropped from his face and was replaced by his usual expression.

[Kero]

"Well after twelve years you really get to know someone." He said then patted Rose's head again.

[Cthulhu]

"I suppose that would be true" he replied, looking at the mountain.

[MorphtheFallen]

Matt looked at the ground an expression of mixed sadness, fear, and anger adorned his face. "So this is why it rains? Would you stop the rain for your long gone family? For yourself? For the world? What do you hope to accomplish?" When Matt looked back up he was smiling again. "What I ment was, how can we stop the rain?"

[Cthulhu]

"Leave that to me...We will find that out when we reach the mountain..." Agrus said, not looking back. 'One way or another....'

[Aelia]

Finally Finfox and Auntie Nell reached their house. It was a large, grand house that looked as if it were owned by the wealthiest person in the wood even though Finfox and her Auntie Nell were far from rich. Long ago their family was powerful and wealthy beyond belief thanks to their special abilities. But those days were now gone and Finfox and Auntie Nell were now the last of the Aelia family. As soon as Finfox got to her private study she began to read a ridiculously huge book of spells that had once belonged her Grandfather. "I hope I can finish this soon so I can get to use these spells. Hopefully Grandpa wrote something on how to stop this infernal rain." she said eagerly.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

nods her head.

[Cthulhu]

Hours later: Darkness is approaching, and the group of Vincent, Matt, Rose, and Agrus have gotten to the base of the mountain
They are looking for the shack, wandering through the wasteland.

"Where is it? I could have sworn it was here..." Agrus said to himself.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"All we have to do is keep looking!" she said enthusiastically.

[Kero]

"Yeah! We will find it sooner or later if we look for it." He said smiling.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Is looking around as a gorilla {and please, no jokes!!}. "Is this it Agrus?" she asked, pointing to a house.

[Cthulhu]

"Yeah, that's it." he said. The 'house' was a decrepit shack, with holes in the roof and sides, and was covered in moss. "Well, at least its a roof over our heads..."

[Kero]

Vincent just laughed. "Well it is better than being in the wide open."

[Chiharu Eniwa]

you have a point there.

[Cthulhu]

"I guess this is what happens after 20-odd years..." he said, looking at the house, putting his hand on the door. Suddenly, he began to shake violently, and then slumped to the ground, shaking.

[Kero]

"Are you alright!" Vincent asks in a panic.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Changes into a bird, raven, in mid-jump and flys over to him. "Are you ok, Agrus?!"

[Cthulhu]

"Urgh..." Agrus clutched his head in pain. It was like something was drillin into his brain. His eyes rolloed into the back of his head, and darkness enveloped him.
(passed out)

[Kero]

*Picks him up then moves him away from the house with flash step* "Hey are you gonna be okay Agrus." He said trying to wake him up.

[Chiharu Eniwa]

Notices he passed out and heals him. "Let's get him inside Vin-san and Matt!" she yelled to them, changing to a human.

[Kero]

"Are you sure it would be a good idea." He said remembering what Agrus had talked to him about earlier. "I think this place brings him pain."

[Chiharu Eniwa]

"Pain or not, this rain is going to get to him." she said, matter-of-factly. She already was holding him with his arm over her shoulder.

[Cthulhu]

"Ungh..." Agrus began to stir, his head moving slightly.
