it looks awesome. The only problem I have with this one is. why didn't they go up to the Buu saga??? that is stupid, it is a DBZ game.so why not go all the way to the BUU saga. Also, none of the cooler characters are there.

Yeah this is most likely going to be a PS2 title. I own one so its alright by me. I look forward to using Nappa to get his reveng on Vegita. He owes him two beatings if you count GT.

Hopefully when DBZ wraps up and all the movies release(which is gonna take like 3 or 4 yrs because FUNI confirmed there'd be 2 Z Movies released per year) they'll fuse together all the Super Butohdens and improve it's fighting phsyics and such because I liked the character models in that more then I did in Hyper Dimension.And of course for a console game...eh we'll just have to see how Budokai does for now.

No, but it did say DBZ games are/will be in development for Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo Game Cube.

I still read it because I like it, it doesnt always give false information maybe about release dates but other then that it's pretty decent once I move outa my Grama's place into my own crib im gonna subscribe to PC Gamer and alot of other gaming magazines have to keep up with all the new technologies and the new age of the gaming world.

These are some screen shots fo anyone who hasnt seen it yet. Its much better looking in real life than this by the way and very smooth. If your a fan you'll love this game. Its fun as heck, but dont expect it to be as good as Teeken4 or anything. But its still pretty solid. I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. Maybe between 7-7.5 Have fun all.^^

Yeah this game is very good, and the Story mode is quite enjoyable.

My sugestion: If your not sure or only a casualy DBZ fan: Rent it, if you like it buy it.

From what I have heard of past DBZ games, it seems it's the best one yet.

i'll give it a 5 out og 10. Even DB final bout was better than this crap.Good graphics. but bad controls. I mean, you can't even fly when you want to, you have to punch the guy up in the air in order to be able to fly up. Also, you can't trow Ki attacks when you want to, you have to do this stupid move mix with kicks and stuff. What is that?? I mean come on, you have to be able to fly and trow kis whenever you want. They should've made the control like the ones from ZOE. now that would've been cool. CG's are good. I would've love if it had the Jap voice overs in it, that would've been a good idea. Character designs are good. But, not great. Still if you are a fan of DBZ, I am sure you will have fun with it. As for me, i'm not gonna buy it, I mean...you have to buy some of the characters moves, in order to have them. that is a joke, since a lot of fighting games already have the moves in most of their characters. Also, the the computer cheats on you so much, you can swear that the only thing it does is block and hit, while you hit and it hits you back. Now, is that dumb or what?? Oh well, I much rather play Dragonball Final bout, it may have sucky character and it may be slow. But when it comes to controler it has one of the best out of all of the DBZ games. I sure hope infrogamers uses a better control next time, and include more characters, or even better. Just copy Final bout controlers , and have both the english and Japanese voice overs. oh well...I'm not buying it.

no, I don't suck at it. I was able to beat the whole game at my friends house. that was how easy it was. The only thing is that...it took me 5 hours to do it. It was crap, Craptacularly good. the computer was just dumb, I mean, block and then hit?? what is that!!! this game was excellent for people who just got into DBZ....but for people who have been fans from the show since it came out in the US. I think they wanted more. And what is more?? all of the DBZ characters, and the ability to fly, and awesome ki attacks, not the stupid ones that Budokai has, but ones where you throw a ki and then the other character throws one ki and both have to fight for who is gonna get the "big shot" kind of like DB final bout. And, they could've put the metior attack in it too, the one where you actually see the characters moving around the screen and fighting in fast speed. Also, it would've been cool if the controlers were almost like the ones from ZOE. If you don't know how those controllers are, then play ZOE. And you will notice that they are just awesome, not only were you able to fly in ZOE but you were able to fight and block at the same time.

Yes, Budokai was good, compare to the other ones. But...it is still a bad game. It just looks good since the rest of the past DBZ games were a lot worst than Budokai. This makes Budokai look good. Still, it is a good game for DBZ fans. Even if it is a sucky game. remember, I was really looking forward, to playing this game. But, when I played it in my friends house. It was another DBZ game put down for me. Not even Final bout was able to put me down. But this game did.

Yeah, I think I overated this game because I was playing it and decided to post about it. I hate the whole buying capsules for moves. But besides that I kind of enjoy it. If the game controls were better like you said Rgchrono this would have been a great game. The story mode is fun, especially after you beat it and go back to play through the story as Vegita, Freiza and Cell.

After playing this i think its an awesome game but the moves area tiny bit simpls and a little easy. I just use vegetas final flash over and over becuase its just so easy to use.

I think the game shines when it's mutli player, especialy when you play with some one who is pretty good themselfs, we usaly bring it down to a fist fight rather than using Ki because we can never seem to hit each other with Ki (we are constantly avoiding it and stuff) (or bouncing it back like deadly tennis hehehe.)
It probably wouln't work if it was non DBZ but because it is it has more attraction, and lets face it, who cares how good a game is, as long as you enjoy playing it right?

I played this game and I think it sucks. The game controls are horrible. The characters and environments are a little to bright and flashy. The combos are so easy to pull off. It's to easy to obtain Ki and worst of all you can kill someone so fast.

I found the controles okay myself.

But as I said (or did I?) As a fighting game it is so-so however as a DBZ game it's brilliant. In fact as a manga/animé game it's pretty good.

they should've made it like Final bout. where to block is Square, and triangle is for ki attack and holding it would make you power up to get more ki, while circle is for kicks and x is for punches.
LI is to fly R1 is to make special combus moves

They could've made it to where.

Down,left,right and triangle was a Ki attack

to down,right, being a special kick move.(and so on)

to where if you press L1 and the kick button you would create a special move.

also, they could've added the cool as thing, where you fire a ki ball and the other guy fires another ki ball. And you had to use one of the analogs to find out who was gonna get the big damage.

but no!! they had to create a stupid controller. that makes it so easy to win, it just loses the interest a fighting game should have. Oh well, I sure hope the second game would be a lot better than this one

Tossing the validity of that 'harcore gaming' title you slapped on yourself right out the window with that one, huh city? Graphics aren't everything. Besides, the Budokai graphics fit the series' style of simplistic but flashy. They works exactly as they're supposed to.

Anyways, I'm beginning to understand what you guys are talking about with the controller scheme, but as I haven't played Budokai for more than a few minutes in a demo, could you explain a little more?
And is this game a renter, or a buyer? Though DBZ ia hardly the best anime out there, it is enjoyable now and then, and a game that can emulate the frentic fights of the series may be cool.

The game is awesome. the graphiocs are pretty good for the effectr and the moves look awesome. Im still playing it plus there some fun comobos that you can have with the charcaters.

I like this game because it kept the original graphics without going into full-on realism... simply put MOST games that have the realistic graphics are more tacked on...

DBZ is the first Anime I've ever seen, and I find myself still enjoying it, even though there is ALOT of talking in the show.

Its hard to say whether its a renter over a buyer. I think you should rent it first Ein. That way your certain not to buy something you'd end up hating. Here's one thing to consider, you have to unlock skills which I hate. I bought the game right off fearing another DBGT Final Bout type of release without enough of em to go around. I like it even with its problems but that may be because Im a fan of the show.
