Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny started airing in Japan in February. It's a 2nd season of Ikkitousen.

The raw for the 1st episode is out, but no sub yet. I haven't watched the ep other then the opening, and it seems the same characters from the 1st season are there and some new characters as well. And it's just as ecchi as the first season. :lol:

It's similar to Tenjou Tenge. And it looks like it's picking up where the 1st season left off.



Seven schools (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School) in the district of Kanto (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanto) are constantly at war (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War) with each other, and the students within - both male and female - have become skilled fighters and constantly battle with rival schools. Their lives and fates are guided by strange jewels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gemstone), called magatama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magatama), that contain the spirits and destinies of warriors from the Three Kingdoms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Kingdoms) period of China (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China), and also change colour according to the ranking of its bearer. The ultimate purpose of each of these high-school fighters, known as Toushi, is to become stronger than all others and ascend to become the eponymous Ikki Tousen - literally translated, this means one spirit with the power of a thousand warriors. The destinies of those who wear the magatama gems, though, have repeated time and time again for the past eighteen centuries - without fail - and the carnage is immense each time around.
One girl, Hakufu Sonsaku, recently moved to Tokyo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo) and is apparently destined to unite the schools, just as her counterpart united seven countries long ago. It's hard to believe for the other characters just as much as the reader/viewer, as she consistenly shows a lack of common sense and intelligence. However, the magatama that her mother Goei passes on (which belonged to Hakufu's late father Sonken; a play on the name of Sun Jian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Jian)) is rumoured to be infused with the spirit of the legendary warrior Sun Ce (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Ce).
Hakufu herself knows naught of this, and explanations of what is going on are largely meant for those watching or reading. All she cares about is fighting whomever happens to be up for a rumble. In fact, fighting even excites her - especially scraps where she is heavily outnumbered. This causes incredible embarrassment and frustration to her cousin, a Toushi by the name of Shuyu Koukin who she's staying with; he always ends up entangled in the situations Hakufu finds herself in (to the point of being impaled once), and is driven to distraction by the conflicting facts that (a) the two of them are related, (b) she's incredibly hot, and (c) her clothing inevitably ends up shredded.

I love this show mainly cause of the uber-sexy-tit-revealing chicks. And it's pretty funny. I'm glad they made a second season >:D (Mind you, the first season of the anime sucked too, haven't watched the second season yet. But yea, the manga rawks cawks.)

I know it's a little early to talk about licenses but if Geneon picks up the license for this one as well, I wonder what they're going to do about the dub since it appears that Carrie Savage, Hakufu's English voice actress for the first series, has left Los Angeles to Texas to work at FUNimations.

Just watched episode 1. It was nice seeing Ryoumo Shimei in something other then her maid outfit. Was it ever explained in the first series why she wears an eyepatch? I don't remember that far back.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find Ryoumo's signature move sexy? :lol:

I loved this manga mainly because of it's quality fight scenes and flying tits. xD But yeah, after watching the first episode of Dragon Destiny, it's safe to say that the animation quality on this series is a waaaaay better than it's predecessor's. :D

I'm sad Toutaku's already gone :/ But yeah, Sousou and Kanu are still effing sweet >:D

ayako has ep2 out btw. Definitely a step above (in nearly all areas, so far) compared to the first series. Fights aren't as stunningly animated as the first episode, but the next episode seems to involve the glasses girl kicking some ass

Ikki Tousen seem a little too much perverted and wrong...but I like it,its pretty close to being somewhat a street fight with all girls or dbz. I like Hakufu and that giant buff guy with the spiky hair. He looks like Brock on steroids,or my uncle Cho Cho. I wish my mom were like Hakufu's too...I think Im a les now.:shock:

Dudes, this is probably the coolest Anime of 2007. I hope Kanu's role is bigger in this series. Too bad Ryofu will not be in there anymore... she's got to be one of my favorites next to Kanu. It should also contain more nudity and jokes than the first.

My bad, I got them mixed it. I rewatched the last part of ep3 again. The person who I thought was Kannei was actually Bashoku Youjou, from Seito. She was using Kannei's tonfa, which was what got me confused.
perhaps the Seito are purposely trying to get Kyosho to attack Nanyo, repeating the ancient Red Cliffs battle so Kyosho would end up getting crushed by 2 adversaries?

The plot? Incoherent.

On the good side, they've moved away from that brainless Sonsaku. The perspective has shifted focus to Ryubi, an equally brainless and big-breasted girl. But Ryubi's sidekick Kanu Uncho is far better looking than... well... Sonsaku's sidekick Gakushu.

That's the main reason I actually stick to such a fan-serviced series. :D

It has a pretty amazing storyline, battle-royale-esque of all these school's vying for the top, which is mirroring the history of ancient Chinese warriors, AND flying tits in every episode.

It just doesn't get any better. haha

Wow, good episode. I suspected Ryomou to have a dragon in her, based on how she was being shown a lot. It's amazing, the violence and panty flashing i'm almost forgetting about it. The camel toe flash...that was a bit much for me even.

Thought it was pretty sweet when Kan-u kicked the crap out of that old man, although i thought that old man was going to pull a Tsunade-sama type finger flick. I love the fight animations in this series. Kan-u is frickin HOT - i'd make her 7 holes bleed. hahaha.

Episode 8

I can't believe why Kan-u would surrender especially considering who's was protecting Gentoku, i don't think they would have lost at all. Kan-u could have kicked their asses and hurried back...ah well it's great fanservice in this series. I can't believe Sonsaku would do such a stupid move to challenge Mutoku since she doesn't even have a dragon...there's like no chance, although i was surprised she seemed to have an edge against Kan-u probably because Kan-u isn't really trying to protect Mutoku, she's just being forced to.

I am kind of suprised that this anime is getting a sequal. While it was somewhat amusing to watch it diddent have any defining features. All I could think of when watching the first season was that it seemed as though they were trying to compete with najica for fan service shots. *shrug* ill end up watching it when it comes out in amercia ill have to keep my eyes open for it, I may end up simply buying an import of it and have it months prior to it being released in amercia

well, I do like this series for what it is: constant ecchi fan service... if I wanna see stuff that challenges me to think, I rather switch to Lain and the sort.. but for fun mindless stuff, Ikkitousen fits the bill...

sometimes it bothers me how unrealistic it is in order to keep up with the history of the Three Kingdoms, though... like so one girl goes looking for the Jade Dragon and destroys an entire school... several hours laters, there's tons of students hurt the school in ruins... but we see no ambulance taking care of the kids, we see no teachers at all, there's no police investigating a probable terrorist attack... heck, we don't see these guys even studying for one bit!! it's funny that all the characters are in high school and bother to go to school for that matter... said fact is totally irrelevant...

but then, all that is there so we can get our deal of japanese schoolgirl uniforms and pantyshots galore... and in that sense, the series totally delivers...

so I say, yay for Ikkitousen and all other fan service series (I'm just finishing watching the second season of Girls Bravo, for that matter, haha)
