Genre(s): Romance, Adventure, Fantasy
Number of episodes: 12
Japanese Air Date: July, 2008

Koihime†Musō re-imagines the classic Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms in action/love comedy form with a nearly all-female cast. The game itself featured upwards of 30 female characters.

Possibly subbed by: Serin

Looks interesting enough.. even if the artwork on the picture looks a bit.. bold (colour-wise). Anyone else set on watching this other than me?

Looks like Ryofuko-chan with less lulz and boobs. Still, I plan to watch it. All-female battle shows usually end up fun.

I watched the first episode. Yeah, it had some fanservice things in it.

So how did cotton panties become part of 2nd century Japan??

Okay, it wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be. Nothing special at all, but I find it bearable. More is less, however...;)

And did anyone catch that reference in the preview? Oh, if only it would end up like what it's referencing, that would be great.

First episode was good at setting up the tone, looks like pretty much an all female cast...not that i'm complaining. :P I thought it was funny that Chouun's cat pin changed expressions whenever she did.

Episode 1:

This anime is.. 'beautiful' in animation and character personality in appropriate places. I really like the animation at most parts in Episode 1, and the plot is in late 2nd Century in Japan. Awesome.

I think its suppose to be in China o.o, but heck its hard to tell whos these women are suppose to represent. Apparently Ma Chao as came in the recent 4th episode (evidence from preview to the 5th) and well other than that the rest are somewhat hard to figure out. I could be wrong but heres my list of who i think represents their male counterparts (lolz)

People of Shu

Brown Haired Girl- Ma Chao (Confirmed)
Purple Haired Woman- Dunno who the **** she is (lmao)
Blondish Haired Girl- Probably Liu Bei (Cao Cao was a loli so why not him too?)
Black Haired Girl- Probably Guan Yu (Weapon resembles his, long Black hair?)
Red Haired Girl- Probably Zhang Fei (Wildness reminds me of Zhang Fei)
Blue Haired Girl- Probably Zhang Liang (Personality Alike)

People of Wei
http://www.animekon.com/uploads/2008/02/Koi-Hime-Musou-02.jpg

Blacked Haired Girl- Freaking Xiaohou Dun (Eyepatch is a given and hair)
Light Brown Haired Girl- Dunno who the **** she is (Damn..)
Blond Haired Girl- Cao Cao (makes sense, watch episode 4)
Pink Haired Girl- Dunno who the **** she is (too hard 2 guess)
Light Blued Hair Girl- Probably Cao Ren (Armor similar to Black haired girl, and he should be somewhere)

People of Wu

Crap another long one. Anyway im assuming the redish and pink haired girls are the Sun family (i can't even tell who the hell is who). Sun Jian is probably the one with the hat. Sun Ce is probably the pinked hair loli, all the other leaders were like that. As for everyone else....

Black Haired Woman- No freaking clue
Purple Haired Girl- Zhou Tai (angry glare o.O, probably doesn't talk much)
Teal Haired Girl- Meh, i got nothing.

Dong Zhou (Lu Bu makes it highly likely)
http://www.animekon.com/uploads/2008/02/Koi-Hime-Musou-04.jpg

Silver Haired Girl- Dunno, nuff said
Redish Haired girl- Lu Bu (Look at the hair style =p)
Silver Haired Loli Girl- Most Likely Dong Zhou (Most of the leaders were lolis he gotta be one 2.)
Purple Haired Girl- Nope, got nothing
Darkish Teal Haired Girl- Again Nothing (glasses make her look like a tactician)

Yuan Shao Army? (maybe Zhang He)
http://www.animekon.com/uploads/2008/02/Koi-Hime-Musou-05.jpg

Teal Haired Girl- Nothing, seriously.
Blonde Haired Girl- Mix up between Yuan Shao and Zhang He (Elegance and Beauty talk is Zhang He, everything else is Yuan Shao)
Dark Blueish Haired Girl- My knowledge is only from Dynasty Warriors (give me a break =p)

And there you have it, throughout the anime the girls had a *second name* so that probably gives some light on who they are. Alas i cant translate that so this is MY Guesses. I could be wrong but no need to bash right? BTW i guess the kingdoms/group they were with by colors lol.

Well episode 3 is out. After the first episode I thought this series had promise but now its starting to disapoint me. The comedy is plain and boring and the fight scenes are quick and look bad. I hate to start things and not finish, so I'll give it a couple more eps before I decide to drop it.

I like the series. It's like a more kawaii version of Ikkitousen.

Holy sh*t. Now they're even parodying historical classics!
Damn, I dunno about this. People from China might just go berserk. But judging from the 1st episodes, yea, it's bearable.

I dunno about watching this.

I wouldnt compare this to Ikki Tousen. Ikki actually has some serious parts in it, not to mention the fights are alot better. Plus the girls look alot better and its funnier.

First episode was pretty shitty. I don't know if I care enough to hate this, so I guess I'll just watch it with my usual indifference.

Oddly this is one of my favorite shows of the season (which is kinda demonstrative on how high the quality of this season is, which is to say crappy) mainly due to the fact that I've actually read and watched the "Romance of the Three" Kingdoms many times and find it hilarious the way they are representing the various characters, and due to the ridiculously intentional fan service. This proves to be an unstoppable combination.

I heard about this series when I was doing my daily troll through the many sites I visit daily. From the pictures it looked like a win win show and glad I picked it up. Fun fun show to watch indeed.

Im willing to watch this series (mainly for the fanservice :?). However im not seeing any plot at ALL, this series seems to be mainly composed of side-stories or fillers. Aside from the little bits we seen of Aisha's past, and the meeting of new characters in each episode theres not much to go for o.o.
