View Full Version : Do you Care About Calories?
The Truth of the matter is I don't care about calories, I like to eat whatever I like as long as what I am eating isn't drenched in disgusting fat, and oil, but other than that I don't give a damm about calories...what about you do you care about calories?
I burn off my calories easily. So, I don't have to worry about it.

Tsh... of course I don't care about calories. The more calories, the better!
I actually make sure not to ingest more then 3,000 a day.
I used to weigh around 250 pounds but now I'm down to a nice 185, so I keep watch to make sure I don't get up there again.

I care about them, of course. Because I need an above-average amount of calories (2500-2600) to sustain my normal lifestyle and maintain my health and so I need to make sure that I meet that quota or else I definitely start to feel like I'm lacking in the energy department.

Yah, and I eat a crapload at lunch. Even my lunch lady is scared of me. Haha, she was like, "How the heck are you staying skinny with eating all that food?" my answer was, "I'm swimming...ya know...like Michael Phelps does?" and she gave me a grin and said, "You were that one that was on access vision that pretty much kicked Lakeviews butt in the 200m swim right?" and all I did was smile, nod, and walk away.
Shows how much appreciation you can get when you work your ass off rather then being 'anorexic or bulimic' like some idiots. Hard work really shows off, especially when it comes to burning calories. I advise if anyone ever wants to, they should get a swimming pool or swim at the YMCA. Do 500m, which is 20 ups and downs(Lengths) in the pool(only takes 7-8 minutes depending on how built you are...or in shape..>.> if you aren't in shape it might take 10-11minutes). Then do some 100m which is down back down back. Try learning how to do a flipturn too, helps with your core. =)

Tsh, yeah. I know! One of my friends actually admitted that she loved to throw up...And I had another friend, who I found out was bulimic. Me, despite how much I eat and how much it'll catch up to me later on, I won't resort to Anorexia or Bulemia. I'll exercise and diet to keep healthy and fit. I'm actually trying to gain weight or at least gain some muscle. I don't care about calories at all, but I only eat once a day, so I'm pretty sure I'm not getting enough calories.
Uh... Yeah? It's not about being skinny or fat, it's about staying healthy. I try to stay just under or right around 2,000 calories seeing as it's an average number and it's easy to keep track of. I exercise daily, too.
I'm trying to start my good habits early. [:

As long as I work as a teacher I doubt I'm going to get fat. The only thing that I'd like to change about my eating habits is when I eat dinner. Often times I have no choice but to eat it at around 11:00 at night, and as you all know well, it's a bad idea to eat so close to bedtime.

Same here.
I eat all day, and all night.
I actually need to gain a bit of weight but no matter what I eat I won't gain a pound.
Once I ate a whole tub of Coldstone's Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Perfection in one sitting. Didn't gain an ounce from eating it. In fact I actually had lost weight a day after eating it (like .4 pounds).

Although it should also be mentioned that, while not gaining weight, eating excessive amounts of anything can be bad for a person, particularly if those foods are bad or high in certain fats. Clogged arteries aren't much fun, neither are food-related chemical imbalances. And don't even get me started on colon-related issues, dental problems, swollen glands, failure of various organs, insomnia, and just about every other avoidable medical disorder in existence. >_> The majority of them can be caused by eating too much of something. So health is still definitely somethin' to be mindful of.

I hope by this you don't mean you're trying to burn more than you eat through exercise every day because this can be potentially dangerous. Depending on your body type, age, and gender, you burn anywhere from 1200-2000 calories per day just from your metabolism working alone. So don't go overboard with physical activity and drain your body.
I care more about what is in the food rather than the calories you can burn those off. Putting unhealthy things into your body all the chemicals and stuff can leave a real impression on your health.
Yeah, this is what I was alluding to earlier in here but from most of the responses in this thread I'd assume most people don't pay much mind to it. But there's a serious misconception that being thin means being healthy and that not gaining weight means one doesn't have to pay attention to what they eat.

Take an example of Celebrity Models and the Size 0 fashion half a year ago. Celebrities and catwalk models were eating cotton swabs for breakfast. It could potentially get into your bloodstream, which could mean fatal reprecussions. They are thin though, but they're not healthy.
