Genre - Sci-Fi

Episodes - 6

Summary - In the not too distant future androids have come into common usage. Taking the androids for granted, humans treat them as if they were common everyday tools, while on the other hand, some people empathize with androids due to their human-like appearance (save for a digital ring floating above their heads). This has become a social problem and these people are frowned upon as a result. Rikuo, one who has taken androids for granted for his entire life, one day discovers that Sammy, his home android, has been acting strangely and finds a strange phrase recorded in her activity log. He, along with his friend Masaki, traces Sammy's footsteps and come upon an unusual cafe. This cafe's main rule is to not discriminate between humans and androids.

This show is fantastic, ive watched the first 2 episodes and its really great, the downsides are each episode is only 15 minutes long and you only get one once a month, it does completely draw you in though, i only wish it was longer and more frequent.

I guess Time of Eve is the english name, Eve no Jikan is the japanese name. I've only seen the first ep and I really liked it. It seems like I've been waiting for the second ep forever.

Second episode is out, its a independant company that makes this which is why we have to wait so long for each episode but its bloody great.

Ya I just found the second ep, thanx for the heads up.

Edit- Episode 2 was so good. I wish I could just watch this whole series through, but another month I must wait.

I've still only watched the first two episodes and even though i loved them I'm going to wait for it all to come out then watch it all together, i think it will be more enjoyable that way.

This is an excellent show. I would love to see more series like this, with intelligence and heart. The idea itself is nothing new, but Eve no Jikan gives it's own spin on things. The Cafe, where everyone is welcome, is a nice concept.

I love this show. I really wished they could of made it into a longer series with regular length episodes. There so much to work with.

I agree but it's because there a independent company so they don't have as much money as other companies i guess.

The first act has me hooked. I haven't been this excited about an anime for a while.

Well I watched the 1st 3 eps. of this anime and I thought it was really interesting. I also seen a lot similarities between I, Robot and Ghost In The Shell. Also what came to mind was Chobits in some ways as well.

The story is very deep and animation is just amazing. Also to me this how it could be in the not so far future with real androids. Each year in japan and in the states robotics is getting push farther and farther along. They also say Sicence Fiction eventually becomes Sicence Fact.

Anways I can't wait to watch ep. 4 and I really interested in seeing how its going to end.

Definitely like this one so far. Episode 4 really had a lot of feeling. Although, some of the reactions in the series seem a little overdone. Still I'm interested in seein that bit about what's happening with the androids.

4 episodes are out, and I read on wiki the last two are expected in july and August.

Resurrecting an old thread =_=.

I loved Time of Eve, the setting is reminiscent of I, Robot as Ryoma said and the quality of the animation is fantastic.

I was a little disappointed in the ending though and wish it had wrapped things up between Rikuo and his android a little better.

The reason the releases were so far apart from each other, as I understand it, is that they were releasing the episodes as they were made and the independent anime group is only a team of one. Since normal anime series are made by several different teams on rotation, they can produce episodes much more frequently. Meanwhile, the team for Eve no Jikan was only one team so releases were slower, but of higher quality.
