is School Days worth all the trouble?

ive wanted to watch this anime for the longest time but i can't... ive looked high and low for it but i can't ****ing find it! ive looked in the deepest darkest bowels of Torrent hell and i can't even find this anime there! THE ONLY TIME ive ever seen a physical copy was at a convention but at that point in time i had no idea what School Days was so instead i bought a crappy Haruhi shirt... my question is: is it really worth the hassle to find this anime? should i just give up and watch something else?

What you saw was probably the hentai game. Not the anime itself. As far as I know, the anime isn't licensed, so you won't be able to find North America releases right now. The anime itself is okay, I gave up after about 3 episodes, but I did manage to see the end myself. Although it does have a satisfying end, it still has a very screw up story. But if you can't find this anime anywhere at all, just move on and find something else to watch.

It depends what type of anime floats your boat.

Personally I didn't like it and didn't get through the series. From what I saw no action or excitement. Fairly boring IMO but it might be right up your alley.

If I should persevere with it let me know because otherwise I will delete it off my pc.

School days was a very interesting series to watch...Usually a "slice of life" series isn't that dark...The characters in this series where so believable and you really get caught up in there life....I say yes School Days is well worth any anime fan's time.

If you really want to see the anime, you are most likely going to have to watch it on a streaming site.

Honestly though, In my opinion, it isn't worth looking that hard. The first few episodes are a lot of fan service, and the rest are just depressing. Well, If I remember correctly anyway... it's been a while.

Oh yes, the ending is about as unexpected as it gets... but now you are expecting the unexpected and will be looking for clues :(

School days is in my top 5 anime.
It had beautiful character design, amazing art style, and a story so gripping it brought me to tears and left me feeling a deep sense of moderate depression for 2 weeks after viewing it.

School days is a great anime, anything that can stir up that much raw human emotion is worth your time.But it aint for the light hearted.

...i like this anime at first 3 episodes.....but when i accidentally read the spoilers of the ending in the internet...i dropped it immediately dropped it.....because the ending is like a complete interpretation of "my worst nightmare of what will happen if i had a relationship"......which haunted me for an entire six months....

I only just finished watching it a few days ago and after 2 episodes I was hooked. It's got stunning characters and a plot that is very hard to predict, unlike some other animes. By the end, it gets pretty sad because, and I don't know about everyone else, I felt so sorry for some of the characters after what they had gone through, I was almost in tears. Definitely a must-see anime. It's almost like Shuffle! (You may or may not have seen it). Plus, the artwork is very well done.

As mentioned before, it's easiest to find on streaming websites. I would give you links to some, but I'm not sure if they're allowed here... O_o

Ok, I got swayed by popular opinion on this thread and watched the end of the series.

It's not a great series IMO but wasn't the lovey dovey cr@p the start of the season made me think it was.

Being a short series, I agree with Naruto_Punk in that fans of anime should watch it.

Idk to me it is...The story doesn't revolve around Mechs or powers of any kind and its set in the modern world...Its just about kids with problems basically....To me thats "slice of life."

You will have the urge to kill Makoto after a few episodes. Trust me. I had to force myself to watch the end... then I was cheering after what happened. But...its one of those that, you hate until the ending, and all of a sudden your like "THAT WAS THE BEST ENDING EVER!". Just my take on it.

I have to admit, I got pretty addicted to this show. Pretty nice artwork, and a pretty shocking ending. Funny enough, I know I'm not the only one who can picture their friends doing something like that. Watch it to the end, though. It's not worth it unless you do.
Also, the more you know:
The last episode was delayed in Japan because a 16 year old girl killed her dad with an axe the day before it was supposed air. They should have just shown it anyway.
