Out of all the Mecha Anime from Gundam to Zoids etc. What Mecha do you think is most powerful?

Virtue, from Gundam 00 is ownage.

I've always like Amuro's Gundam from Char's Conterattack.
That thing was pretty awesome...hell it helped deflect an asteroid from hitting the earth.

Seriously, the Virtue, Albinus? Have you seen the 00-Raiser in Season 2? That's more rape than SEED's Nuclear powered Strike Freedom. Faster, cooler, more powerful. I mean, you can hear the voices of the people around you when you pilot it!

Here is where i get to show how much of a mecha nerd I am. Here are my candidates for most powerful mecha:

Candidate 1
Name: Cybuster
Pilot: Masaki Andou
From: Super Robot Wars
Reason: Normally its a powerful mecha overall, fast as heck and a range of good attack, the most devastating one being the devastating Cosmo Nova. What really makes him strong though is that the pilot has, under limited circumstances, access to the Akashic Records, allowing him to rewrite history as he see fit. This will however drain the pilots prana, or life force, eventually killing him.

Candidate 2
Name: Zeorymer
Pilot: Masato Akitsu
From: Hades Project Zeorymer
Reason: Its not explained how Zeorymer is created in the OAV, but either way its quite powerfull. It has the abilloty to telleport without much limitations, can detonate remote explosions right next to its oponent and there is even an upgrade in the manga giving it even more attacks. It doesnt really have much of a weak point either from what I have seen.

Ans as Gundams has already been mentioned, my pick for the strongest in my opinion is:
Candidate 3
Name: Turn-A Gundam
Pilot: Loran Cehack
From: Tunr-A Gundam
Reason: Being a quite regular Gundam overall with the weapons you would expect like beam sabers, beam rifles and the like, it is its hidden function, the Moonlight Butterfly that earns it this nomination. The attack spreads out nano machines that will destroy all technology. That alone gives it this spot. I was thinking of putting God Gundam here, but that doesn't have any super attack on the level Turn-A does, but God Gundam is the strongest Gundam in normal combat I believe.

It's not 00-Raiser itself. It's when it connected to Exia when it goes into Trans-Am mode. You can hear voices because it is going into another dimension where time and space have no meaning. The range of didn't seem very far.

From the anime I have seen. Burning Gundam from G Gundam or Liger 0 from the first Zoids series. If you don't know why I say that its because of its versatility. It has 4 different suits of armors and each has its own powers including its most powerful weapon the Charged Partical Cannon which I am sure would rip apart "most" Gundam's by itself. If I remember right it has a red suit that drastically increases its speed and jumping ability with twin laser blades that can cut through even resilient armor..They are not uber powerful blades but they can cut through a lot. A Green Suit that fires like 50-100 missles at once along with other artillery. So it has Heavy fire power. Only draw back is it is so heavy and it heats up so bad its gotta lose the armor "very" soon its its joints will heat up to bad and begin to melt doing permanent damage to it.

The charged partical cannon is extremely powerful and the Burning gundam took out the Dark Gundam which was again really powerful and a titan amung gundams. So those two are the most powerful from what I know of.

I was thinking the same thing. This mecha can literally destroy galaxies. The concept is absurd, but there really isn't anything that can compete when it comes to power. Although if it were to fight at the same scale as other mechas it would get worked.

No, Jaraiya. When the add-on is by itself, it's called the 0-Raiser. Setsuna gave the combination of the two the 00-Raiser, and that's the name that shows up on 00's forehead when they connect.

The thing is, its impossible to determine the best mech in this situation due to all of the various kinds. If this was determining to shows it would be diffrent, but this is inviting them all. This is bassically the type of thread for opinions, but a thread with 2 teams butting heads, is more of a debate. Eh, either way I agree.

ZerO, the mech as you know can't go the speed of light, but his brother's Geass allows him to alter people's sense of time and stop the people. The downside is it cannot stop physical Phenomenom, so if he uses it, and something is coming his way, it will have no effect on that thing coming his way. Also, if he uses it too much, and the range gets far, then

Spoiler.

Here is why I didn't mention Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Awesome mecha, yes, but not so original and unlike any other super robot before it. It is huge, but th whole point of the Gurren Lagann anime is that you kick reason and logics in the ass and do whatever you want. You cant determine the scale of that mecha as its all over the place, slightly bigger then the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren at one point, yet larger the a galaxy at another. For another super sized mecha with a determined size, I nominate Getter Emperor from the Getter Robo manga, known to be the size of a solar system and if you have seen any Getter Robo anime you also know that the Getter Robos are on equal footing with the Gurren Lagann mecha and its evolutions in terms of power. In fact, a lot of inspiration for Gurren Lagann was Getter Robo, both are based on things combining (Getter was the first anime with this concept by the way), green light representing the mechas energy and the pilots are similar in that their willpower determine how strong you are.

Awesome mecha, yes, but not so original and unlike any other super robot before it. Compared to what? Infinite Gundam rehashes?
You cant determine the scale of that mecha as its all over the place
It has been confirmed in the data books that the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is 10 million light years in height. This makes it roughly one hundred times the size of the Milky Way Galaxy, and also makes it the largest mecha seen in anime to date. 10 million light years is it's official confirmed size.

10 million light years? Who built it? Gotta be more than the entire galaxy's share of metal to build such monstrous object.

Path
01-06-2009, 01:44 PM
10 million light years? Who built it? No one built it.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann was created through a combination of thirteen people all channeling spiral power (except for Viral who doesn't have any spiral power.) It is made of spiral power that all living things have and thus doesn't require any actual materials.

Compared to what? Infinite Gundam rehashes?

Compared to anything. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is without a question the msot powerful mech purely due to it's size. But honestly, there's no originality. It's just a big ass robot that's pretty much it.

Kouketsu
01-06-2009, 09:09 PM
Yeah, this goes to TTGL without much question really. Basically throws all concepts of physics and rationality out the window in terms of sheer magnitude in every part of it, from size to power and whatever else. When you're picking up ****ing galaxies and chucking them around like frisbees, I'm pretty sure you're the strongest mech. Haven't seen anything else come even close to that.

Lance McCloud
01-06-2009, 09:40 PM
Path: I will be the first person to agree that the mecha genre has little originality and although Gurren Lagann as a series feels fresh and original in some areas, but the mecha are more or less Getter Robo clones. Thats my point. I don't think originality is a must to make a story good, the reason I like series like Gurren Lagann and GaoGaiGar so much is that they take things we already know, and do them better then anyone else has before.

As far as its size goes, its just a number without much value as we clearly see the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren emerge from it being just slighly smaller. I understand that logics isnt suposed to be an issue, but thats why you also jsut cant give a creation such as TTGL a size like that jsut because you want to. As I said, I didnt count it as the info on it is so vague. I agree that if you count it its the stroongest, due to its sice, but if you take that away there are a ton of mecha that could beat it.

Also you gotta think about the last angel (in the anime) i.e. the kid and how he just floated into the best defended place on earth without any trouble because of how strong his AT field was... he basically manipulated any and everything in his way

It's stated in the Final Drill data book.

10 million light years is the size Gainax has given TTGL. You can argue against it but you'll have to take it up with Gainax, not me.

Funny thing is that the Erupting Burning Finger isn't that Gundams strongest move. ^^

If we were going by conventional size, I would have to agree with the Turn A Gundam. It's ability overcomes other mecha.

Gurren Laggan is powerful because of the Spiral Energy as Path stated. Willpower or the strength within ones self could be unlimited. And since that's what Spiral Energy fed off (at least I think from what I saw), it was or is the ultimate in scope. It's like imagining Rocky Balboa in a mech that fed off of his will to win. XD He would NEVER lose. haha

Multiple giant guns - check
Palm Lazer- check
Lazer Shield - check
extended operating time - check
wings??? - check
"fangs"?- check
laser swords? - check
legit OS (prob linex ) - check

it just all adds up, for speed we can't really tell who wins between 00 and freedom, both are ridiculously agile for both of their era's its kinda fuzzy

but if its just straight up speed, i think the lancelot with the wing attachments near the end of season 2 wins, common it curls up into a little energy ball and go flying freakin everywhere!!!!

Heh, I was going to bring up the mecha of Gunbuster/Diebuster.

Even from the first one, which is one of the oldest technically when it gets back to earth after light speed travel. If she could kick through 100,000's of ships with her power move, it must be pretty powerful.

But then again, leave it up to Gainax to make one even more powerful with TTGL lol.

That is why Super mecha should be separate from real in my book. In super style the power of your mech can go as far as the creator wants. In real it sorat has to be grounded to something.

One problem with Tenga Toppen Gurrenn Lagann is that it is never seen functioning in space with "regular" physics. Anti-Spiral space seems to have pretty much no rules, so anything is possible.

there is another contender for this that people have ignored: Ideon.

Black Hole Cannon, which as the name implies, creates a miniature black hole capable of massive destruction. This weapon is only used once in the series.

The Ideon Sword, a beam of pure light emitted from each of Ideon's hands. While the beam's destructive power is immense (even cleaving an entire planet in half at one point), its most peculiar quality is its length. While adjustable, the maximum length of the sword is depicted as being quite possibly infinite.

The Ideon Gun (a.k.a. the Wave Leader Cannon) - a massive blue cannon directly powered by the Ideon's Ide energy to produce an enormous white wave of energy which destroys literally anything in its path in a forty five-degree angle, including starships and planets. This cannon's initial use is so awesome that the crew are very wary of using it.

hey peeps, new here.

Gurren Laggan would definatly win here, well if piloted by simon. the fact that if he beleives he can wina battle then he wins it applies :P ontop of this, he can seem to defy most physical laws, his greatest mech dwarfs galaxys and he has the power to out power the energy to create a big bang.....

im sorry but there arent any competitors... well i dont know of any.

its a bit of an unfair comparison imho. out of regular mechs id have to go with gundam 00 raizer, its pretty brutal :P but then again i dont know enough mecha anime to realy criteque.

this is an ipossible question to answer simply based on ever anime/manga that even has Mecha in it are noncompatible with each other based on tech level cause in Nadesico they have distortion fields witch are virtualy impenitrable plus the ability to teleport which makes some one virtualy unbeatable as well as integrating black hole cannons and there may be other mecha shows that have even higher tech and simply are not compared to the first gundam which is awesome but in therory could not touch any ms from Nadesico. And thats not counting pilot skills like Amuro Ray who can see the future.

I recently found a good image of Getter emperor. Gurren Laggan isn't the only galaxy sized mecha, and far form the first, and as both run on the same energy (spiral power, getter rays, same thing really) and get stronger when you are pissed off, Gurren Laggan isn't a safe bet.

TTGL is the most powerful. Nuff said. Now i realize that just saying the size (which has been repeated on this thread many times) doesn't prove it's the most powerful. We know that officially It's the biggest (due to a practically unlimited power source), Lance McCloud, until getter emperor has an official numerical height value greater than 10 million light years (even if it is by a foot), TTGL is taller. Now when we compare ability wise, The TTGL can create matter out of thin air (know mech that can do this at will? please tell me cause then i'll have to watch/read the anime/manga :D), and its greatest ability, it can Manipulate and warp the fundamental foundations of reality at will (can directly control the probability of some hitting it and it hitting something else). So someone said it earlier, but it also depends on the pilot. get someone who doesn't want to lose at all costs with an Extremely Creative mind to pilot the TTGL, the other mech is screwed.

HOWEVER, excluding TTGL as mech. I have to go with Buster machine No.7 NONO. Just because she split a planet in half, while she wasn't un-compiled with the buster corps. I also have to say, that the greatest Mecha duo is NONO and Dix-Nuef (with degeneracy reactor) cause they split a black hole with a the Double INAZUMA KICK! (which HAS to be the greatest attack evar! >_>;;; at least in my opinion)

Well, I've been keeping an eye on this thread to see others ideas since I have not seen every mecha anime, and one of the first mentions, Turn A Gundam, still stands out as the winner because the Moonlight Butterfly nanomachines would be able to affect every mecha imaginable, due to the material composition of possible enemy mechas. In effect though, the Turn A would not be alone in its category since the Turn X also uses it.

Anyways, defensive measures would only become munchies for the nanomachines, and size of the enemy mecha would not matter because the mecha is still made of materials which are nanomachine munchies. Mmmm... munchies.

A mecha with superior power might be able to take down the Turn A or Turn X, but if whichever of them throws its Moonlight Butterfly on the enemy mecha prior before the killing blow, then the enemy mecha is going down as well, thus resulting in a draw.

On the Moonlight Butterfly issue...

Since the nanomachines employed by Turn A's / Turn X's Moonlight Butterfly are, well, MACHINES... I'm thinking they could be affected by energy fields / specific radio waves or signals, or anything that can disrupt their system functions. You then defeat the Moonlight Butterfly at that point.

To me its still obvious that various Getter Robo mecha, Mazinkaiser, Cybuster and Granzon, Ideon, sever Banpresto Originals and a few others could defeat Gurren Lagann. I realize its no point in arguing as most of you have only seen Gurren Lagann, and probably think other super robot series are lame, want that robot to be the strongest although you don't have anything to compare to.

And i don't care what excuse you use, the size of TT Gurren Lagann is badly explained (Gainax seem to always do this, was the same with Evangelion where the Evas changes size from scene to scene anyways), and physics don't allow that size to work. I know using physics as an excuse is stupid in a series with super robots, but it also means the physics of the other mecha in other series could defeat Gurren Lagann.

As i said beofre, the Getter rays in a Getter Robo works jsut like spiral energy (and is the obvious source of inspiration Gainax used when desgning Gurren Lagann) and alows for infinite energy and possible size increase as well. Cybuster can erase Gurren Lagann from history, and even without that feature, a Cosmo Nova attack should be big enough to damage it quite some. I could go on, but i realice you guys dont listen or have anything to compare to anyways.

Every story has a logic, you can't just take everything as is; that's why we were given BRAINS to think with in the first place. Any anime's story is based on a given set of logic, otherwise, let's stop watching anime and just write fanfictions so we can impose whatever we want to happen on the story...

Believability is always a key factor in any anime, especially mecha anime, since you're dealing with machines... I'm pretty sure none of you would follow a series where the star mecha simply PWNS all enemies no matter the odds right? That'd be extremely boring, and not the least believable at all.

The Ultra Zord from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is the most powerfull mech ever. It is actually one mech built from 3 mechs:
Titanus
Dragon Zord
Mega Zord (it itself is composed of 5 other mechs: Sabertooth Tiger, Tyranasaurus, Mastadon, Teradactyle, and Triceratops)

The Ultra Zord could easilly kick any Gundam's @$$ up one street and down the next, any time it wanted.

Lance McCloud

Haseo: AltEisen is cool and all, but not that strong. Thats what makes it so cool though, you need an actual skilled pilot to handle it and make it not tip over due to its imbalance. The SRW or even Banpreios on the other hand are right up there with the strongest mecha.

Animedude5555: And why does people assume that popularity = power? Gundams (although some of my favorite mecha) are quite weak overall, so why compare to them when most mecha would either defeat or at the least stand on equal grounds with them? Zords though? Those things are quite weak even as far as super robots go. And I could make some comment about Zords = Robos and talk about Super Sentai, but I know no one here cares so whatever.

Lord Mogar: Strong arguments you have for your opinion there. Gurren Lagann is a good super robot series, but in hindsight its not really better then most other super robot series released around its time. The animation and action is good, but the drama was weak as the pacing was off. Simons awakening was epic due to animation and music, but completely flat in terms of story progression. No, I rather watch Godannar. Has just as good action and interesting cahracters, but the character drama has actual depth to it as the characters get time to develop in far more interesting ways then in Gurren Lagann. Then there is Gravion and New Getter Robo if you want just as good action. All Gurren Laggan has for it is the larger then life scope, that works really well, but thats its only strong point it has going for it that is unique.

I suppose Eva mass produced (units 05 and higher, which were piloted by Kawaru's clones) are the strongest mechas. I mean they got their asses handed to them by Asuka and her EVA, only to reactivate and PWN Asuka's EVA (presumably curb stomping Asuka herself in the process). I mean these mechas can even turn their swords into Longinous Lances, the most powerful weapons of the EVA universe, capable of penetrating an AT-field WITHOUT using ANY external power (unlike the power hogging Positron Cannon that required ALL of the electricity in Japan just to fire).

Plus they can generate an AT field for defeanse (against which Gundam beam rifle shots would just be reflected off). Plus the model that's used for unit 05 and up have an S2 power core, so it has UNLIMITED operating time, and NEVER has to be plugged in to external power to achieve unlimited operating time. Quite possibly unit 05 and up are the MOST POWERFUL mechas in ALL of anime.

The problem with that is that you are selective with circumstances. They are strong, but only if you assume that their particular superpower will be the most effective. GaoGaiGar's Goldion Hammer reduce anything it touch to light, Cybuster can alter history, Zeorymer could teleport a nuclear blast behind the AT field... I could go on but it would get boring.

Animedude5555

GaoGaiGar's Goldion Hammer reduce anything it touch to light,
Hammer = melee weapon
The only melee weapon capable of penetrating an AT field is the Lance of Longinous.

Zeorymer could teleport a nuclear blast behind the AT field...

You forget that EVAs 05 and up have all the capabilities of the previous EVAs, and then some. Remember how EVA 01 had an Angel do a self destruct while surrounding the EVA's head so the head should have been blown up, but it wasn't! Such a detonation occurred BEHIND an EVAs AT field and the blast was like a nuclear detonation. The EVA came walking out of that like nothing happened.

Then you forgot also that EVA 00 used an N2 mine to blast off the armor covering the S2 core in one of the Angels. It completely incapacitated the EVA in the blast (but seemingly did no structural damage AT ALL to the EVA), but the EVA 05 and beyond are ALL capable of recovering from such incapacitating damage, even when obvious physical damage is ALSO present it seems.

So seriously do you think that EVA 05 or beyond would actually be damaged beyond recovery by someone teleporting a nuclear explosion to it? NO WAY!

And with swords that can turn into shield penetrating Longinous Lances, do you seriously think that ANY mech (even one with a high powered energy shield generator such as the Mercurious in Gundam Wing) would EVER stand a chance against a unit 05+ class EVA? NO WAY!

Well one problem I see is your assuming that the Eva AT field would be effective against an energy weapon there is no evidence of that from the show they do show the AT field blocking projectile weapons more than once but if anything the positron rifle they use in episode 6 would indicate there weak against that kind of attack.

Actually the mounted Positron Cannon (NOT the EVA-hand held Positron Rifle) was used in that ep. It technically was a modified positron rifle, but the rifle as normal operation is MUCH less powerfull, and can NOT penetrate an AT field (it's only effective as a ranged weapon against an Angel who's AT field had ALREADY been disabled by an AT+AT field neutralization attack). Therefore the standard positron rifle is a good comparison with a mech's standard beam rifle arsenal. And that comparison shows that standard beam weapons (unless overdrivven by powering it from the electricity of a whole freaking country) are just to weak to penetrate an AT field. Do you seriously think that even the WingZero Gundam's double barreled Buster Rifle packs the power of all the electricity in a whole country? NO WAY!

And even if a Ramiel defeating beam shot COULD be delivered to a unit05+ class EVA, do you REALLY think that it would bring them down? They'd be down for half a minute about, and then revive, JUST like that scene in the movie End of Evangelion. Mass Production Model EVAs win. PERIOD! And I'll stand by that against ANY mecha from ANY other anime that you can name.

KOS-MOS (ok, not a human pilotable mech, but rather a human sized android) has enough fire power to wipe out in one shot (using standard armament) a fleet of 50,000 space craft, each the size of the Starship Enterprise; and even to blow up a whole galaxy in one shot (while wearing the weapon pack called Tertiary Weapon System, which is equiped with 2 Phase Transfer Cannons). Well given that the only thing that came close to really damaging TTGL was an attack that had the same amount of energy as the big bang it's doubtful KOS-MOS could do much of anything. Also the probabilty of KOS-MOS actauly being able to hit TTGL is 0 the suit capable of altering basic laws of reality like it's ability to hit at target or be hit and forming things like weapons out of thin air.

Meh, standard weapon wise, i think KOS-MOS is out ranked by Buster Machine Number 7 NONO. Mostly because said Human sized mech could destroy a planet and keep going with standard weapons. Which were as followed.

One Buster Beam Emitter
8 Battlecruiser class Laserbanks (aparrently they were size was downscaled, but they could still maintain the same power)

and i think, NONO has a higher Energy Output and generation due to her power source, a Singularity. Which also grants her the ability to create black holes....Thousands of them. Phase transfer cannon meet black hole. I think black hole wins. So standard weapon wise....She wins. Add-on wise however, i think KOS-MOS wins. With the whole twin Phase Cannon thingy going on there (btw nice way to exxagerate the power)

And, Even with the exageration of power, I STILL don't think KOS-MOS could win over the TTGL (which strickly speaking isn't a mech), mostly becasue The TTGL can control two things that KOS-MOS can't. Reality, and Improbabilty. Along with the Creation of Matter from nothing....so infinite add-on are to be expected.

However, don't get me wrong I'm not downplaying KOS-MOS' ability, just scaling them next to abilities of TTGL and NONO. KOS-MOS is still one of my favourites ^_^.

And somonementioned belcross....Z Saber, i think *checks* yeah Z saber. I think belcross counts too. If you take his power into Account, Existence, then he's practically invunerable, since only Nothingness could "kill" him...and while i'm on the topic of BIO-mechs. Is it possible to consider the Uchuu Kaijuu from Bunbuster/Diebuster Mecha? I was wondering if it was possible because they clearly are organisms...but at the same time they seem to act like A.I. by the way to move and act. I don't think we can...but if we could call Uchuu Kaijuu from Gun/Diebuster mecha, then they're on the list too, since the 3rd evolutionary form could emerge from a blackhole. =/

I found this site/thread via Google and I wondered if I could tap into this community's fund of anime knowledge. When thinking of "the most powerful mech ever", an older anime springs to mind where a vast alien fleet of ships is invading Earth, who has developed the most advanced mech it could produce... but the catch is that it's so powerful and expensive, they could only create one. The mech (which as I recall is piloted by two women) goes out to space and confronts the alien fleet, literally wiping out hundreds of thousands to millions of ships within seconds. The power of this mech was unbelievable. With the fleet destroyed, the mech was heavily damaged during the fight, and the two women essentially resign themselves to a depressing fate as the anime ends. Quite sad.

My only question is this... what was the name of that anime?! I can't for the life of me find any reference to it. Thank you in advance.

All I can think of is Gunbuster, though it doesn't sound exactly the same as what you've described.

THAT'S IT! :D

It's been awhile, I must say... but yep, that's the one! That's easily the most powerful mech I've ever seen.

Thank you.

Gunbuster was pretty epic. It should absolutely be a requirement to shout out your mecha's moves as you do them. It also had one of the most creative endings in anime.

I also loved Diebuster, the newer related anime OAV series. It was really epic, too, in a kind of Gurren Lagann way.

Agreed, i would venture to say I personally enjoyed it more than Gurren Lagann. but it might just be my love for the original Gunbuster ;)

Hmm. I haven't really ventured into the mecha animes too much. I used to watch Zoids on Toonami way back when, but not enough of any gundam series to make any direct comparisons. I would say one of the more realistic mechas in my opinion would be Big O. The Zoids were pretty rad though.

Im not too hardcore into thinking which is the strongest but if I had to pick the coolest looking mechs then the ones from Geass are the most stylish hands down espically Shinkiro :p

The RahXephon. Show and the mech are the same name. Its like a living being though, so I dont know if it counts. Kinda like Evangelion.

For pure "hax" I would say Strike Freedom, but I think personally that Hi-Nu or one of the later Zeta variants were pretty darn powerful.

I was thinking the same thing. This mecha can literally destroy galaxies. The concept is absurd, but there really isn't anything that can compete when it comes to power. Although if it were to fight at the same scale as other mechas it would get worked.
You are Both wrong. It's Chou Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. its 50 times the height of tengen toppa and when it fights the super grand zamboa(its anti-spiral equivalent)there 2 energies collapse a whole UNIVERSE!
anyone who disagrees is wrong.

you r wrong. tengen toppa's power is directly related to its pilots fighting spirit which is spiral power, and since the pilot simon's spiral power is unlimited tengen toppa always gets stronger at infinitely expanding rates. for those who dont know what spiral power is its the power of evolution which increases with the user of its power's will to live and fight another day or in just simple terms there willpower. watch gurren lagann, you will underrstand. you can find the series on youtube

Still sticking with the Ride Armor from Megaman

...I think the ride armor is awesome.. but really how long can you say you've ridden in the armor before having it explode on you?

Pfffff, it never explodes on me. Like any good mecha pilot, you gotta take care of your baby. You just can't stand there and get shot, you gotta move!

How often does that happen? Ride Armors can jump over almost any projectile if it's timed correctly.

Once again, it falls back on the pilot.

You need to work on your Pilot skills man. How in the world are you ever going to get the Mr. Perfect achievement if you can't keep a Ride Armor alive?

Wouldn't you agree that the mecha is dependent on the skill of the pilot?

How often in anime do you see a inexperienced child climb in one and kick the **** out of an experienced pilot? Rarely, but I can think of a few instances (not really anime though). But the point still stands that without a qualified pilot, a mecha is just a bunch of components put together.

Actually.. Thats a lot of premises to some popular ones.. like the first Gundam.. Amaro didn't know what he was doing and kicked a lot of Zaku A**.. And.. Z.O.E Leo stenbuck was just a child came acrossed a super robot Jehuty and she taught him to pilot right there and then with having no more than elementry school to back it. No experience.. just the spirit to move on. You're absolutley right though.. I probably suck hard at driving the ride armor.
