I know it is kinda wierd, but when I was a kid I watched sailor moon alot, and I kinda got attracted to the anime. Overall I think it was a good series, how about you guys?

It's OK. I had a buddy of mine go out and develop a Sailor Moon collection -- AND -- his picture (with collection) ended up in the yearbook. :lol::twisted:

I used to like this series a lot. My mom would record it for my siblings and I when we were in school, so when we would come home, we would watch it. I'm thinking about watching it again soon, just to see the lameness of it and the horrible voice actors. Lol.

It's not weird, were on an anime forum, I love Sailor Moon. It reminds me of when I started watching anime and stuff like that.

Overall, I really like the series because...I just like magic. The magic in it was...well, magical. It was amazing and not many anime's around that time (that were popular) had that magic element in it.

It reminds me of a female version of Power Rangers....Think about it.

Sailor Moon was the first anime series that I ever watched...I really really really LOOOOOVE this show, I have all of the movies on dvd. Nowadays, I realize that pretty much every episode was the same, though.

Bad guy appears, turns random object into female monster, monster attacks sailor scouts, transformation scenes, all of their powers fail, tuxedo mask appears and says something corny, throws a rose, moon tiara owns the monster, end of episode.

Actually to be honest, Sailor Moon was the first true anime I ever watched, it was exciting to me, I liked it alot, I fell in love with it, couldn't stop watching =3

ahhh sailor moon... its awesome to the max... I grew up wtching it at 7.30 in the mornings just beore school... but they stoppd playing it about 1995/96, so me and my best mate would sit back at one of our places and watch it on VHS...

Im a sailor jupitr fan myself. Sailor moon i always hated cuz she was just so annoying and i cant stand anime characters like that.

Of course Swedish. German is too...eeesh with Sailor Moons opening. The Swedish version sounds more subtle. When I was little, Sailor Moon was the first thing I watched when I got home from school. I watched it till about...4-5th grade. :lol:

I just wish there was a more up-to-date version. If there is, give me a shout in PM.

Ha! That was when I actually first started watching it. I had a friend who was obsessed with the anime and had everything with Sailor Mercury on it. She was one of those hardcore fans who always had to talk about it.

Sailor Moon will always have a special place in my heart...there is also a very good Sailor Moon musical group who perform at various conventions, I saw them last year and the year before, and they are very professional and skilled.

Oh man, I am going to watch Sailor Moon from the begininning, now, sorry can't really type well, was outside all day and my hands are numb, it was 30o out. Anyways, yea I plan on watching it from beginning to end soon, but with school, I might have to watch it next weekend.

Darien dont remember if that is the correct way to spell it though. I watched all the episodes that I could get my hands on and I would get up early every morning to watch it. Which getting up early for me takes alot of dedication. Its a great heart warming and touching series.I know alot of people who love it or it was there first anime. I wish they could have continued the series on tv though.

Sailor Mars and Jupiter is amazing!

Although Sailormoon's transformation is quite long, it's cute!
I'm reminded of it when I watch Shugo Chara!
(her transformation is quite long, too! XD)

Yeah sometimes after seeing sailor moon so many times I would fast forward during the transformation because I was so egar to see what would happen next. I do love how the transformations changed bit by bit through the series even though it was mostly sailor moons who changed.

Sailormoon was my first anime back in the early 90's (maybe mid), I still love it to this day. I have all the movies (JP & EN, separate cause thats how VHS rolls), and I plan on buying them all on DVD too. I still to this day wake up to my sailormoon alarm clock. It kinda drives my fiance nuts cause out of nowhere the theme song plays really loudly and every so often she says "Good Morning!" (excuse my bad grammar, I am really tired! LOL)

I still remember the first time I got to watch it in JP, and got a pleasant surprise from the fact that Sailor Jupiter says "Pervert!" alot. I was really young and I just thought it was the funniest thing to see a "kids" cartoon using that word.

I have discovered anime with Sailor Moon so this anime has a special part in my heart..For a while I've forgot about anime(about 10years-meanwhile I haven't seen any anime),but I've re-discovered the anime with Naruto...
I want to see it again(Sailor Moon) because I have forgot almost everything...

I agree with kira's heart except it wasn't my first anime but the romance in the show did catch my heart and the action fighting girls in mini skirts was a bonus ;)

The series is not a kiddy show. When you think about it the show actually involves mature thoughts and complicated themes. Sailor Moon is one of my favorite animes ever, will it's my very first anime.

yeah, but alot of us grew up with the american version which = rape
but even then I could see all of the ish going on, like Rini and her love for a horse:roll:

But I love Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon R is the best

I love sailormoon I used to watch it every morning for i went to school (god i feel old now). I'll admit its probably one of my fav anime series of all time, little embarrased to admit my love for this series (being 26 & all :p) But i cant stand the american dub, subs ftw yet again!

I love Sailor Moon...it was my first anime. I own all of the individual DVDs except for two and have the Stars boxset (BAD SUBTITLING!)

However, I also own every manga and have to say that once you've read it, the anime pales in comparison. In the manga the Senshi don't have to rely on Sailor Moon to defeat the baddie, they can do it themselves. In the anime, this makes their powers sort of not needed. Also, the characters are pretty one-dimensional in the anime as opposed to the manga, and Rei is SO different in the manga.

Yeah as soon as someone mentions sailor moon you want to go back and watch it again. Its a little expensive for me to buy now but I have recently purchased the movies which were good.

Sailor Moon was the first anime that I ever watched. I recorded it by accident and couldn't stop watching it. The English voice acting was horrible it's so much better in japanese (but I feel that about most anime). It's years later and I still love watching. I had to buy every single season and all the movies.

Now is it just be or does it look like there were five shadow monsters sealed in those little rainbow ball things about 4 seconds in? I always thought that it would eventually turn out the sailor scouts used to be demons or something. But that never really got explained.

In fact the whole origin got kind of mixed up. I mean first queen Serentity sent them to Earth then it turns out she is Queen Serenity...

If I remember right Queen Serenity is the name pretty much given to the leader or something. I dunno I could be wrong. But Serina is the Reincarnation of the Princess not the queen BOTH whom have the same exact name ...I think. Don't blame me if I am wrong I havent seen the series since I was in Jr. High or High School when they took it off the air forever.

I thought Sailor Moon was awesome, I always used to watch it as a kid, and even though it was sometimes a corny show it was still very good to watch nevertheless.

My favourite sailor scout (I think that's what you call it) would have to be Sailor Jupiter. She was the strongest of the girls I think. (maybe Venus is stronger) and her lightning attack were kick ass!

Ebay has alot of Sailor Moon on sale used of course. I bought all the import series for under 100 bucks. If you do not like ebay try amazon. Make sure to check the persons status on Ebay of customer satisfaction. If they get bad feedback don't buy from them.

I don't anime anymore. But like most people, this was my first anime. I liked it very much. I want to get the entire series on DVD to watch it for old times sake. I liked the episodes where the guy arrives on a ship with a group of powerful women that he leads against the Sailor Scouts. After each one of the female warriors are wiped out, he lures the Scouts into his ship where he blows it up, attempting to kill them while teleporting away. It fails and he gets badly messed up because of the explosion, teleports to his mistress and she kills him because he failed. If someone knows what season that was, would you please tell?

I remember watching this when I was 7 on toonami when I was waiting for Dragonball Z to come on, which of course quickly turned into a guilty pleasure for me.

I don't remember much of it but I've been recently watching the whole thing again and making sense of it now.

Like many people here, Sailor Moon was the first anime I saw, before I even knew what anime was.

I like the classic season for purposes of nostalgia (realizing it's pretty cheesy then), but it really gets more complex and mature in the later seasons. I like it in Japanese but still enjoy the English. The transform scenes are iconic for the genre and the character movement is so graceful.

Sailor Moon is what got me into anime (and I'm sure that a lot of people can say the same). I didn't just stop with the butchered dub, though. I made sure to see every single Japanese uncut episode. It's WORTH IT. Especially later on. The series gets more mature and the animation is beautiful.

I think my favorite episode is in S, though. When the American exchange students have a ball. It's so awesome in the Japanese version because the American men are voiced by Japanese seiyuus and the accents are horrible. Haha I love it.

Ahhhh...... Sailor Moon. The series of my past that has introduced me to the great world of anime. I liked everything about it: the theme song , the characters, the humor , the big eyes and of course the creative bad guys. I only can't remember the masked guys name.
