Does anybody know the chronological order of Ghost in the Shell?
Include Films.

So far, I got.
Ghost In the Shell
Innocence.
GIG1
GIG2
Solid State Society.

Is this the right order?

Director and Series Composition by Kenji Kamiyama (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=91)

I loved all this series and all of its releases because they include so much more than a story about a military organistion of the future. The characters are the most defined of any anime I've watched. Although the genre isn;t my favorite, this series has some classic anime moments within it.

This is an opinion I half agree with about GITS 2.0:
(http://www.anime-forums.com/%3Ca%20href=)GITS 2.0 Impressions (http://destroytokyo.com/index.php/2008/07/14/ghost-in-the-shell-2-0-impressions?blog=2)

On the whole it sounded like a good idea but (and it's a big but) It wasn't needed so much to make the series better. All that money was spent on something that was already really good, although it did looked awesome in parts.

Side Note- It reminds me of the reasons why Square Enix didn't remake FFVII; it may spoil the classic it already was.

GITS rocked. I've yet to see 2.

And Silent, they are remaking FF7 for the PS3, due to come out this year.

Kira- I hope you wouldn't mention that one, it makes me cry when I hear it lol

The second movie Innocence was batter than the remake of the first and it's at least worth a watch ^^

Innocence was a great movie. I really want to see it when it was in the theaters but sadly the theater was way to much out my way. >_<

I did get the DVD as soon as it was released. ^_^

OF I also got the DUb Version witch was never released in the US I think.

I liked the DVD release of Innocence because it came with a nice cover to it's box; the artwork was as good as it usually is. This may seem silly to say but I got attracted to the box first and bought the DVD without even realising it was GITS Innocence at first ;)

It is very different to the first movie and the theme is alot deeper as well; at ifrst watch it was hard to understand but once I got into it, there were bits that were subtle genious.
E.g the whole earch for her and when they find her how she reacts stuck in that broken body

Ya I hear ya I still have versions of it the original release and the Dub version. I just could not part with the original cause I love the cover art. >_<

Ya that is very true. Its a little more thought out then the 1st movie not to say the 1st wasn't. It really delve into what the characters were going through.
