Wolff's Haunt

Welcome to my mindspace. Probe my mind as you will.

  1. SDHQ ED Thoughts (Part 5: Earnest Feelings Requited / Love Fulfilled / With Kotonoha)

    Spoilers Ahead

The "I'll Never Love Again" Route
Just after "Bavarois", the route that leads to the three endings mentioned in the title is undoubtedly the second best route in the game. The reason I placed "Bavarois" so high is because it was the most realistic simulation of what an infatuation-based relationship is like, not to mention its minimum damage/heartbreaks caused. The three endings here, on the other hand, also have very few heartbreaks ...
  2. School Days HQ Ending Thoughts (Part 1: Bavarois)

Ah boy. There are sure a lot of endings for this visual novel (not as many as the PS2 LxH version though). Some are great experiences, like "Bavarois" and "I Love You", others... not so much ("All Hers " is especially poorly written).

Since I've already came across a few good ones, I thought I might as well share my experiences with you, since some of these moments in the game were genuinely fun.

  3. Lost My School Days HQ Digital Purchase

Well, technically, my four years old School Days HQ digital purchase.

See, around 2010 or 2011, I got into anime, and by that extension, visual novels as well. School Days was one of the earliest anime I'd watched, and for what it's worth, it was fun. Then I learned about the visual novel that the anime was adapted from. It's four years ago, so the details are blurry at best, ...

  4. Mass Effect: A Space Adventure

Holy cow. What an adventure indeed.

I've gotta admit, when I started what was my sixth or seventh replay of Bioware's greatest game created, the 2007 Mass Effect, I did not expect to have this much fun. It was just something to kill my time, just an obstacle I had to get through to get to my preferred installment of the franchise, Mass Effect 2, which had a lot more action, ...

  5. Just Finished Yukie's Route In Majikoi

Well, that certainly turned out better than I'd expected. It has the traditional signatures of your typical ren'ai game, with your generic h-scenes and whatnot (which kinda bored me, tbh), it has some serious elements mixed into the over-the-top comedy, and it has a sweet, coming of age storybook ending like Clannad, which might turn some people off, but I liked it.
