Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Versus XIII is certainly the company’s more troubled game. As part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis project that included Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Type-0, Versus was presented as a more action-oriented title like director Tetsuya Nomura’s Kingdom Hearts series. That seems to have changed. NeoGAF reports about a supposed Square Enix insider who stated that said action element was removed from the game’s combat system.

Would I be wasting my time watching beyond the first episode? I'm not seeing the OVA quality here. It looks as cheap as the original anime, and the characters are as boring as I remember which isn't helping.

What's the appeal?

Mother****ing treasure chests.

I wish I could meet the developer that thought this game's treasure system was not only a good idea, but one that simply had to go into the game.

For those that are unfamiliar with what I'm talking about, around 99% of the treasure chests in FFXII do not contain one item. They generally have a 50% chance to contain one item ranging from pretty good to amazing, and a 50% chance to contain a potion or some trash item (**** you knot of rust). ...
