So in celebration of my latest av/sig combo, let's have a Chen track!



Pretty much the perfect remix for Chen's theme, Withered Leaf. Uplifting and kinda jazzy with that swing beat. I generally avoid the rock and metal touhou remixes, most of them just kinda blend together or have really unappealing vocalists. I actually enjoy the guitar work in this track though, it's just laid back enough that it blends in with synth and bass real well; doesn't feel like any of the instruments are vying for control.

So yeah, Chen the Nekomata familiar of Ran Yakumo, who's own master is Yukaei. She's usually portrayed as childish and carefree, which works pretty well as one of the younger youkai in Gensokyo. She makes her first and only appearance in the main danmaku games in touhou 7, Perfect Cherry Blossom, as the stage 2 boss guarding the village of Mayohiga. She's also featured in the IaMP, StB, and SWR titles. She's a fun character with a pretty big following despite how few major appearances she's had since PCB.
