One thing I don't quite understand is the massive amount of hate towards my high school and others mocking the students here and calling us stupid.

Excuse me, what?

Sure, we aren't as advanced as other schools and run on a much smaller scale. Maybe the education isn't as challenging, but we live in a mainly fishing community. Majority of us did not have a choice of which schools we could attend. We're only allowed to attend the nearest one. Otherwise the schools get upset over a student transferring and there's a big mess of confusion laying ahead.

But really, my school isn't so bad. I don't even understand why we have such a bad reputation. It's always angered me how people treat us like idiots and complain. I just want to show them what some of these students will achieve. I want to show them up. I don't want them to treat this school that way any longer.
