My First Pub Crawl

So it was my mate's 18th on Saturday night and his cousins were in town to take him out to Newcastle and show him the night of his life. It is worth pointing out that these cousins of his had liver transplants because of their drinking habits so I was a bit intimidated, but of course I went with them despite still recovering from an all-nighter the day before which was a farewell party for another friend moving to Queensland. Still without thinking I accepted anyway.

Now that party the night before hadn't ended well. Lots of booze + BBQ + spear tackle = ****ed up! Almost a week later and the aftermath is still scattered across their garden (Thank God they moved...) Regardless, even with a bruised kidney and a hangover I tagged along for ****s and giggles.

I don't know how many places you have to visit to constitute a pub crawl but we managed about 5 or so before we reached the lockout time and couldn't go on any further. And of course my friend's cousins had to take him to a strip club. Those places are dodgy as Hell but well worth a laugh. Some weird **** went down there...

And finally to top it off we went for a Maccas run at 3 in the morning. Unfortunately it tasted like poison and we all ended up feeling worse from the food than the booze. But at least it's not as bad an idea as a kebab, those are really dangerous!

Anyway the night ended and I thought I would be able to take a day off and rest. But then the phone had to ring the next day and I had to answer. And of course I had to agree to going out to the pub again.

At least now no-one has the money to go the pub again for the rest of the week. Having spent almost every-day since last Wednesday out drinking I can safely say I'm done until Christmas!

Sounds like we gotta go out for a drink sometime, lol.

Good to see those alcoholic cousins putting their new livers to good use. We wouldn't want those those things going to people who didn't purposefully destroy their livers and deserve new ones far more. No sir.

Well when you get the car back from the garage, you usually take it for a spin don't you?

That's fine by me, but who's paying the airfare?

Car parts aren't really the same as organs--well, in a way they are, but the value and rarity of them aren't even in the same ballpark.

The docs that approved their liver transplants were irresponsible, imo.

@Struggler Totally agree and though honestly I think it's fine to still be able to drink but they should at least cut down to half what they used to. But in Australia (Well actually any country in the world) doctors will do anything for those with the most cash. My mates cousins are unnecessarily rich so unfortunately the poorer people on the waiting lists are still waiting.
