For my first blog entry I'm gonna do a Review!

Hello everyone and or anyone viewing this, I just figured I'd write a review for one of my recent favorite anime T.V. series, mainly because I don't think many people have watched it. The anime I will be reviewing is Desert Punk, for those of you who haven't heard of Desert Punk here's a brief synopsis: "In the future, Japan is a wasteland. In the Great Kantou Desert, scattered humans eke out a living in the hot sand. Among them, a short-statured man they call "Sunabouzu" makes a living as a bounty hunter. Like a demon of the sand, he seems unbeatable. Yet, like all men, he has a particular weakness for the opposite sex..."

First of all I recommend watching this dubbed because the voice actors did an amazing job at bringing the characters to life, and Desert Punk has a lot of realism in how humans would act in a specific situation to an extent, it's also very much out there, it's very unique and crude even gritty, but that's it's charm. Most people may pass on this anime because of the fact that it's main character is well a serious jack a** 99% of the time, but I truly believe that if you pass because of that you are truly missing out on a great anime.
This series has a very mature and well developed plot that continues to pose a lot of complicated questions as you watch, which in my opinion makes it a compelling story that it makes you think about the main characters decisions though out, and some may think his actions are too harsh others may think otherwise but even through the serious stuff this anime has to be hands down one of the most humorous of all time. It's not nonsense humor like slapstick comedy, it's just the main character himself is a hoot haha, I can't think of a better way to describe him. Speaking of Desert Punk himself he is one of the most genuine and realistic characters because of the fact is he's a jerk through and through and he doesn't ever change his ways because someone made him see the error of them, and to me that is so remarkable. I personally get sick and tired of anime's that change a jerk into this nice guy which I find truly unrealistic and exhausting to see, I appreciate the fact that they keep him true to his beliefs no matter what, which makes this anime very emotional towards the end of it.
To put it simply Desert Punk has to be one of those hidden gems for anime that is so odd but so realistic and wonderful with an amazing story line and characters that make it a journey worth going on. Again I would like to say watch the dubbed because the voice actors are amazing for the characters!

Post this in the review forum section, using the review template.
Also space it out... no one likes a wall of text.

Yeah, 3rding posting this in the review section. Is well written, not spoilerish and will contribute to that part of the forum. Aaaaand not look like something that can be viewed from the moon.

I'm getting back into anime and my mission is to seek out stuff I missed inlast 5 or so years, lol. This sounds like something I should add to 'Guilty Crown.'

oh mmk I just figured as a blog it doesn't totally matter what I post and I prefer reviews lol so I simply just did it on a whim, and also it's not a wall of text it's called a paragraph and I only did a one paragraph review and I added images to lighten things up. Thanks for your impute I will look for the review forum section to add this to it, but I still like it in my blog

well I did a search and there's already a review for Desert Punk and according to creating a thread if there's already one of your topic in existence then you should contribute to it by commenting I guess. So I'm still not sure if I'm able to put this in the review section or not, I don't want to violate rules or anything. Also if I am allowed to post a second review on that specific series where is the create new thread option button? I'm looking under anime reviews because this isn't technically a recommendation it's more of a review of the series and the only place to create a thread is under recommendations.

Reviews get stacked in the review section. You can make your own, and then post it in the thread of an already-posted review of the same anime.

There's no option to make threads in the review section as it's primarily a read-only section, with the rare review contribution. When people want to submit reviews, they post them in another section, report them, and in the report ask for it to be moved to the review section. Unless it's a short, piece of garbage "review," it's accepted.

Oh haha thanks for the informative response! Yeah that sounds like a lot more trouble then it's worth, I don't like all the steps I"m the type that just wants to get it in the correction spot the first time, but I might put this in the anime recommendations section to be helpful I guesss
