I was walking home from the trolley station yesterday. Saw a guy physically abusing a woman while her child stood there, obviously frightened. I approached, trying to calm him down and end the situation. Instead, he sucker punched me, knocking me to the ground where I hit my head and lost consciousness. He then stole my phone and ran off, presumably with the woman and child in tow. I how have a large bloody gash on the back of my head, and 9 stitches in my lip.

See? I try to be chivalrous as I once was, and this is where I end up. Pictures to follow when I get home.

    So that's why I hadn't seen you in a day or so...

    I have to tell you Scythe, people are disgusting creatures, and guys who do sh!t like that aren't worth the patience, honestly. I would've sucker punched him first. F*ck the code in this instance, I would've surprised him, and took it from there.

    Hope that heals up in time, man. Take it easy for sure. Plenty of rest and healing. It's good to know you're at least all right after all of this.

    The best thing is always stay out and not get involved, just call the police or security or whatever.
    Whether you like that or not, that; 1- Is legally correct, 2- Protects you.
    Unless you are certain you can handle the situation, best bet is to stay out.
    Bad people be everywhere.

    I'm sure you've reported the guy by now, and they will find him.

    Totally sucks, buddy. Bad situation. But I can't help but crack the hell up at the thought of you going up to this guy and trying to calm him down and him knocking you out and the woman going, "Jesus Christ, Todd... again???"

    ^ Or he could bend the story and say 3 cops pushed him onto the train tracks and started beating him with their batons, but he overpowered them, and while blood was dripping everywhere, he gathered the strength to outrun the cops.

    I mean sure, there might be collateral damage when you instinctively spin kick an old lady who'd waddled up behind to ask for a little help crossing the street, but its a jungle out there.

    Surprisingly no, and guess where I was when it happened. On the sidewalk of one of the busiest streets in El Cajon. Not one person stopped to help.

    Next time call the cops, shes just going to get hit more because you intervened. Domestic abuse is a difficult thing to deal with, and isnt a onentime thing. Its ongoing, and if he was doing it in public Imagine hes got her to the point wjere the abuse is normalized.
