WINDOWS!!!!!! *Raises Fist in Air*

So the touch screen for my laptop stopped working. *Hmmm*

I check the settings in case I pressed something... Nothing
Check the User Input drivers... Nothing
Venture into google and start looking up information and basically dive into some complex and unusual ways of fixing the issue.
I try everyone of them with no success.
I then look at my drivers and start troubleshooting on them. They are all fine and up to date.
PC tells me that there is nothing wrong and everything is running fine.

How did I fix this problem after an hour?
I reinstall the driver for the USB... But not the main driver, a driver for controlling the USB charge function on the laptop.
Yes. The monitor driver is controlled by a random program for controlling the USB.

What the ****!?!?!?!?!?!
*Slams head on desk multiple times*

Don't hit the desk too hard or it will shake the laptop, making the USB driver corrupt.

I work in IT and stuff like this happens all the time oddly.

I once had an issue where a guy kept repeatedly getting blue screens, I troubleshooted the death an the problem ended up being Bonjour, a program that Apple applications use. As soon as I disabled it he never had a problem.

Man the problems i have had with bonjour, it makes me so angry.
    Driver conflicts are not uncommon.
A freind of mine had this problem on a windows 8 laptop. I fixed it by uninstalling the screen, restarting in safe mode with generic PnP monitor driver, reinstall correct screen, reboot normally.
Drivers are all sorts of weird, but usually not too difficult to fix.
