Comedy, history, goofiness, stereotypes, and just downright hilarity. Who wouldn't love it? Hetalia, in case you didn't know, is an anime (and webcomic series) mostly based off World War 2. All the characters are countries personified, the main three being Italy, Germany, and Japan. It will completely change your view of the world as you know it and amuse you to no end. The episodes are each 5 minutes long, supplying just the right amount of silliness to get you through the day. The plot is pretty much nonexistent, but that's part of its charm. The characters are very accurate in personality, the best in my opinion for this being Denmark, Canada, and America. If you're a shipper such as myself, you're in luck. There's plenty of yaoi there for you, or if you're not into BL, check out the genderbent version of the show, or some of the female characters such as Ukraine, Belarus, and Belgium. Like a few anime I know, the show's narrator is about 45% of the comedy. There are different bits I find interesting, such as Chibitalia and Nekotalia, adding some difference to the normal sketch comedy type format. There's a lot left up to the viewer to decide, resulting in more than a few theory blogs. The fans themselves are a generally happy group, imaginative and creative when it comes to fanfiction and roleplay. Another thing about Hetalia that you can't say for most anime is that it's educational, but not in the boring way. In almost every episode, a history lesson is hidden. Sometimes not even hidden. It's random little facts that allow you to impress people around you. Anyway, before I ramble too much and end up wasting your time, let me just say that I highly recommend this anime. It's on Netflix, and I'm not sure what else. There are three series so far, in order it's Axis Powers, World Series, and Beautiful World. Ciao for now and check it out~

I tried watching a few episodes of it, but I just couldn't get into it. It's surprising to see how many people cosplay as characters from this series at cons.
