I experience that as a gamer chick allllll the time. "ZOMG a girl!" Yes, it's the year 2011, and women can work as well as play video games. *gasp!*shock!*

I actually got into the habit of playing male toons, and never disclosing my gender to anyone but my guild. My hubby and I ran one of the most brutal and awesome guilds in our MMO of choice, and everyone thought I was a dude, and he was my wife. I called him wifey in game and everything. Then I ended up getting fangirls, who thought I was a guy. They were so stupid they couldn't look me up in the game forums and see I was female. When everyone did find out I was a girl, it was HILARIOUS. That's when everyone lovingly started calling me Tranny. XD Even across opposing factions.

"The Tranny" hahaha. There was a girl in a different guild called that, but for a different reason. When she found out what our players were calling her, she almost died laughing lol.

I mess with dudes all day. Its more of a hobbie.

I was expecting a "I put on my wizard robe and hat" message.

I have played many a games with female games, and enjoyed their company more than most guys. They did occasionally get into girly conversations about which actor is hottest, and such, but being comfortable with myself, I would join in.

Due to that, or my user names, or my mannerism, people often though I was a girl. On a lineage 2 serve everyone thought I was a guy, I had to post a picture of myself to prove otherwise. Sucks that you are guaranteed to find the creepers once people find out you are a girl.

It does suck, but trolling them can be fun. I can tell you, I laughed for hours at the "Go fuk a duk" comment. lol. I showed this one to Ian before actually. lol

I avoid girl gamers. Most of them are just *****es who want the attention of a zillion dudes online. The ones that matter are the ones you never find out are girls and just play everyday to smash faces in like everyone else.

I dont know a girl gamer seems a little sexy *hehe* i wish my girlfriend liked to play ps3 or something *sigh* whatever but either way even though im a guy theres no way i would dis a gamer whether female or male

Most gamers that I find out are female is usually due to them using mics, and acting just like any other guy--in other words, like douchebags.

Gamers a gamer in my eyes but it is certainly funny listening to guys trying to talk to the girls in the Call of Duty lobby like they have never talked to a girl before. They are some big losers man, its really sad lol

I am a huge gamer. More gamer than anime nerd, actually.
But I have never identified myself as a GIRL gamer, so I always get kind of confused when dudes go all:
"W8 W8, A GIRL?! HOLY SMOKES"

I just don't feel that the existence of my vagina plays any part of my gaming, really.
